It may become salvage title if the damage is over 50% of the car market value??or so.

But we'll...it is not that bad. You can get rocket bunny!!

And Avo kit ??

Yes this maybe the only bad part, salvage title and your perfect car is ruined! It's just not the same as before anymore.

Here in CA it is only considered salvage if the damage is over 75% of the car's value and the only thing damaged was the rear bumper and a little crack in the front. If it was considered salvage my insurance would buy the car off me for what the car is worth so I guess the cars still clean

this varies between companies and states. i've never heard of any insurance mandating oem in network. and some states require oem by law if the car is under a certain age (1 or 2 years). but this doesn't really matter, as it's not his insurance that's paying, but the person who caused the accident, and it's much easier to get the at fault party to pony up for the repairs you want. whether a insurance recommended facility or not, you can generally get the company to pony you up a check or pay the facility directly. they don't really care.

i strongly disagree with this. find the repair shop you want, then see if it's one of the recommended ones by the insurance. if they're the same, great. if not, go where you want. body shops that primarily do insurance work work essentially work for the insurance company, and they get so many jobs by being cheap, not good. and any good shop will warranty their work.

not that many dealers have body shops these days. but asking the dealer where they get their *new* cars repaired is a good idea. note that it very well might not be where they get their used cars repaired. ;D
