Does anyone who has lowering springs installed on their stock struts get any strange noises coming from the front end of the car?
Recently I have started to notice some groaning/creaking noises coming from the front left and right suspension when slowly going up/down inclined driveways with the wheels turned. Also, when going over uneven surfaces like speed bumps or grass. I park the car in a somewhat bumpy unpaved grass spot with a strip of concrete in it. Slowly pulling into the spot, the ground is uneven which causes the right front to drop down before the left does, etc. and when this happens I can hear the noises as the suspension moves. The best way to describe the sound would be a gradual/slow creaking such as when you step on uneven piece of wood and as your weight compresses it it makes a strained noise and then stops when your weight is fully on it. I don't hear this sound during normal driving or heavy aggressive cornering.

Like the sound of the spring grinding on the strut housing metal on metal with a little pressure added? I'm not lowered but It might be that sound.

The sound doesn't really seem metallic in nature, but I haven't had someone else outside to listen while they are close to the wheel/strut.

Thanks Bryan.
In other news, my dealership sent me a 1 year anniversary congratulations email: "Can you believe it has been a full year since you purchased your Toyota Fr-S? I hope this year has been a good one for you. Please remember that at our dealership your satisfaction is our number one priority." Apparently I now own a Toyota Fr-S. Gonna have to order those Toyota badges after all!

I also have a noise - but more of a clank, and when I'm driving spirited with lots of sharp turns. I think it's like people say - the spring rotating then re-seating.

I hear the same kind of noise sometimes, but then I realize it's my stomach growling. "Feed me cheesesteak!"
