Was looking to grab an AWD coupe or and FRS

Suggestions?

Got some thoughts of grabbing a 335i or a G37(But everyone in NYC has one)

How is the FRS with snow tires in NY?

Wait, really? 335i vs FR-S? They're completely different cars, in completely different price brackets. A 335 is an amazing long distance cruiser, it's comfortable, it's quiet at all speeds, and it has pretty darn good handling (and it'll blow an FR-S out of the water in pretty much every way except possibly handling feel). It's also twice the price of an FR-S though, and it really isn't hard to option it up to close to 2.5x to 3x the price. I really don't see the two as competing at all, to be honest.

The FR-S with proper snow tires is a beast, regardless of location.

I've been driving in the Canadian snow this past week with snow so deep, I can hear it touching the bottom of my car as I drive over it. I'm running Bridgestone Blizzak WS70's and haven't even come close to getting stuck yet. I've seen bigger SUV's and buses and even my dad's truck get stuck in the snow this past week and I'm still going strong!

I do agree with what has been said here.
Completely different cars. It really depends what you're looking for.
I would go with the 335, simply because I like the luxury and comfort.

335i is a luxury car that will take the FR-S/BRZ to school in a straight line(don't ask...) They both take off quick but as soon as the turbo spools a bit its all over. I wanted a light nimble sports car that wouldn't put me in huge debt. If I am spending $60k on a vehicle it will be something I could make money with if need be, ie a diesel pickup.

Don't listen to the guy above. When it come to snow and the twins a set of 16" wheels with a 205 series snow tire is what you need. A 155/55/15 tire will have less sidewall the stock tires and there aren't many(if any) 15" wheels that fit these cars.

They're very different cars, almost on different sides of the spectrum when it comes to RWD coupes.

335i - expensive, heavy, luxury sports coupe
FR-S - cheap, lightweight, minimalist sports coupe

If you value luxury or speed, go with the 335i. If you value lightweight and small, go with the FR-S.

I would guess the 335i would be better in the snow because of its substantial weight.

It sounds like you're just throwing out cars that are vaguely sporty and RWD now - the G37 is very different from the 370Z, which is very different from the 335i, which is very different from the FR-S. I would suggest you go out and test drive some of them, so you can figure out what you actually want.

I don't think the BRZ is minimalist though, the trim and features are more refined. Coming from an Evo X, I can say this because that interior was.... yeah, not good.

Compared to a 335, I'd say it's pretty bare and minimalist!
