U were? I was there with 2 other 86s. Which group did you run in??

I really like Sonoma, I'm always so stressed when I do drive it (specially coming into turn 11 and hugging the barriers thru 12 and 1). Definitely a nice and challenging track, love the crests up turn 3-4 and the rhythm section 7-8-9

Another beauty from Joe! I'm gonna have to try your line thru 7-8-9 next time.

I was in a blue s2000 running in the Advanced group. I saw a couple a handful of 86s. Were you guys in the garages?

I don't know what kind of times he was running, but I do recall passing him several times, and they were very smooth passes. He was track aware and made things very smooth despite driving at a slower pace due to the limits of the car.

That's about how I felt driving in the advanced group this day. I remember commenting to my GF that maybe signing up for the advanced group might not have been the best idea for my 1st time on this track. The S2000, like the 86, is very much a momentum car and I didn't have the comfort level on this track to carry that momentum... especially on the uphill 2-3-4. It feels pretty narrow at the exit of 2 and 3 and blind at the crest of each.

My GF stopped watched clocked me from the grandstand @ 1:55 after lunch but I felt like I was leaving alot on the table... I'm sure I'll put up a better fight next time.

If you are running 1:55 than u better off staying in advance group lol, Mixed group that day had lots of slow cars causing traffic I run 2:02 range and happened to be one of the faster cars in Mixed...which shouldnt be the case lol

Weather is looking great this weekend at Willows, no rain, just freezing cold, but should be good for our engines!

A possibility?
Shall we start planning for a caravan? This location would work for me, say meet there around 4:30/5am?

My tires don't like this cold ... Neither will I driving around with the windows down. Hope it heats up a bit during the mid-day.

Yeah that location sounds good! =)

Oh man, at least it isn't raining but I'm not looking forward to driving around in the freezing cold with my windows down. Gotta remember to bring plenty of layers. I guess the thing to do is drive on track with your heater blasting? Should help engine cooling too, right?

Caravan location sounds good to me. I've already begun losing sleep thinking about this upcoming day.
