Garage
It snowed yesterday and when I opened my doors the windows didnt go down (frozen up) and i rocked the windows switch till it came free. From there the window would not roll up the whole way when I closed my door. The manual has a fix for this issue:

step1: dont start your car, put it in ECC mode (2 taps on the start button, no clutch)
step2: close drivers door
step3: roll window down half way
step4: roll all the way up while holding switch in 'auto up' position
step5: once rolled up, keep holding 'autoup' position for a few extra seconds
step6: works properly / profit

I also turned on the gear indicator...kinda meh over the feature...why look there if I can just look at the stick (or hell fondle it). But I guess it comes in handy when you are looking at your tach (because I am deaf cant drive by sound) or forgot where you were (and at that point why are you driving?).

Snowtires, underbody panels, backup camera, and Valenti lights still waiting for install...god i need a day off.

This looks nice. May I ask about where you bought it and how much? Maybe I should get one as well. But then where to place the cups? Is there a dash mounted cup holder, just like Takumi had in InitialD?

Thanks! its the OEM Toyota GT86 arm rest so the install is very clean and the finish is great. The leather, red stitching and even the bracket match everything thing else very well. Cup holders still fit in there just have to keep it open. There is even a small opening for cabling so you can use the cig outlet with the arm rest down.

The only place I was able to find it is at nigel-jdm (http://www.nigel-jdmparts.com/toyota-86-front-arm-rest). I wouldn't recommend them though because they removed it from the OEM box before shipping and just threw the parts in a large UPSP box and sent it on its way...surprised it wasn't damaged. Might be other EDM, JDM carriers out there that sell it though.

I agree with you. At the current moment they don't look that great, but I still have to clear coat them, then wait a week for it to set then wets sand. That's when they start look really nice. Painted with duplicolor metalcast

Here' is the DIY with before and after photos http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ed+tail+lights page17

Oh crap! Mine is on it's way from there. I hope it makes it without any damage. Mine will have to bounce around from CA to KY, I see you are in CA so yours didn't have to go very far. When I pay for something new, I expect to get it in new condition with all the original packaging. I am pretty sure Nigel checks this forum, so hopefully he will change that process with his shipping department.

Yup, same here. Had a few email exchanges back and forth with him afterwards and he didn't seem to care and even denied how the item was packaged and shipped! Some people are amazing...
