At least it's there.
Twenty years is a long time.
I'll be happy if they're still comparing our cars to the S2000, GTI and MX5 in twenty years from now. :-)

Pretty cool. My previous 2 cars (Integra type-r and Honda S2000) are on the list as well as my BRZ. Nice.

I would argue this list is much, MUCH less important actually.

Lap times are not indicative of fun or social relevance.

practical application to performance ratio looks heavier in this list, which is very European thinking.
Quote:
No Supra?
No Mr2?
No Rx7?
No NSX?
No Skyline
No Silvia?
I think those are legendary cars in their own ways, but I'm not surprised they aren't on the list. between the R35 Nissan GT-R and the R34 Skyline GT-R, its clear the "better car would have made its place". I can imagine the 98 Supra TT was too expensive and impractical for its performance ratio to make it on the list, same with the rx7, NSX and 300zx. I think the MR-2 turbo would have been considered if Europe had gotten a good MR-2 model to begin with. S15 would have made it if it was offered in Europe.

TLDR So its more like this;
Quote:
No Supra? - too Expensive
No Mr2? - no turbo sold in EU / 3S-GE was rated 165-170hp(unlike US/JP 180hp).
No Rx7? - too impractical/expensive
No NSX? - too expensive
No Skyline - beat out by next gen
No Silvia? - not sold in EU.

I'm choosing to ignore this list....VW over a 458 Italia?

Who cares what the ratings are, that's just wrong lol

Not saying they should all be on their, but jesus, a ford focus and none of these icons?
you have to keep in mind that some of those cars never came out in the UK (and also several cars are listed that North America has never seen) or were gimped compared to the JDM versions.

Wasn't this list compiled by readers though? I'm sure if the TG crew themselves did it, it would look a lot different.

Well the Volt came out in 2011 too. It's a world platform, so they just rebadge it around the world.

Though it is telling that the GT86 made the list after only having been out for a year.

It's the exact same car as the chevy volt... Vauxhall gets many chevy cars for all kinds of fucky reasons that make me both frustrated and tried.

2nd this... Lots of utility from that car. If it just wasn't so expensive to maintain...
