Ya I know. I was thinking about that and trying to determine what size tire I want to run with. How tall are your 245's gonna be?

Happy Holidays everyone.

I second the Danlar endorsement. Another great body shop is Hoffman-town, near Wyoming and Menaul. They did a great job painting and installing the body kit on my Corrado, for great price.

To help you, here are pics of an 18x9 +42 245/35/18 setup.

That's another question I have in being new to the area. Where is a good Shop to purchase parts for our cars?
And a Good Tune/Repair/Install Shop locally? Like for Tuning,Suspension installs?
If looking to canned tunes, hard to beat Open Flash Tablet. But if looking for a custom tune, I'd recommend CamTuning in Rio Rancho. Amazing local Subaru tuner. He's big with the STI/EVO crowd, and know's boxers well. Pretty smart guy too, BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA.

I like this site best for determining tire size and variance from stock.

Are these your tires? I am trying to figure out what profile size I want to run if I go 17X9 with a 245 or if I should cut the width down or not.

245/40-17. Closest to stock diameter. Shouldn't be off by much, if at all

Yeah I've seen pics like that, which is why I didn't want to go with a 17x9 +42. Granted my 57dr's are only 4mm further out, it's still a little extra comfort to ease my mind

Ya the ones I was looking at were +30 for the 17x9 and +38 for the 18x8.5

The +30's will probably poke a bit, but both will clear the strut perch for sure

I've spent a ridiculous amount of time on these forums reading and researching almost everything about this car. From what I've seen a 17x9 +42 or less offset wheel will work for you no problem on stock struts. Also 245/40/17 would be a perfect fit for that wheel. Some run wider than that with a 255, but that gets a little tight up front. Also have you considered 18x9 wheels? They'll make you car a tiny bit slower and tiny bit less responsive, but most think ascetically 18's fit the car perfectly. In no way saying you should do 18's do what makes you happy, just trying to provide answers/suggestions with your purchase.

With a 1.5" drop, the +42 will poke a couple of millimeters (2-4), nothing a little camber cant fix. Anything with a lower offset will poke that much more, thus requiring more camber to tuck it, if you so like.

Ya the sizes I mentioned are what I am looking at I like the idea of the 17x9s but like I said they are +30 offset the poke is what concerns me. The 18x8.5 are a +38 offset so I dont know how much concern I have with that.

Have you used the calculator that a guy on the forum made? It's a sticky in the wheels and tires section. You might wanna check it out
