Don't know if that's common knowledge or what, but that's all.
Im curious... you know of any good spots to drift in at the moment around town? I personally don't know of any but I do know of a fairly empty smooth 2 lane highway you can really open the car up at.

I don't really.. I think if you head out to the burbs you can probably find a quiet parking lot to spin around in. At the same time, the burbs will have more residences and be quieter, so your tires will be more noticed.

Alternatively choose a road with a lot of shops and parking lots, scoot around one for a while and then go on to the next one. Hopefully this can keep at least one step ahead of any noise complaints.

Going out after 1 or 2 would be advised, but all the same I got a ticket doing 80 in a 55 (Buford HWY connector) at 3:30 AM last night.. Who does that?

You can get a reckless driving or laying drags ticket/arrest anywhere in the state, too...

Doraville police, and I'm assuming it was them with their history, will do that to ya man!! Yea I know of a parking lot or 2 I found in Marietta but its still too close to the main streets that other cars pass on. But I only go when its raining hard as well because I am NOT trying to burn up my tires too quickly.

Right, would definitely advise going when it's raining too. Not sure which police it was, I'll check my ticket when I get home later today.

I actually try spinning in lots not too far from the main road, then I just move onto the next lot after a few spins. I hope then I keep ahead of anyone who is inside, calling the police about a noisy car in their lot. This combined with going out way after midnight have kept me safe from citations(other than that speeding ticket, but that was unrelated to drifting).

If I could find a great lot far off the beaten road, that might be nice too. One bonus of being near the main road is that it tends to be better lit, which is a boon when you go out in the middle of the night. I'm easier to see, but I also have an easier time seeing.

All the points you made about where to drift and spin are exactly the same things I do. I think our practice works best.

Me and my buddies went out to a few places, empty lots for like 3 or 4 minutes, last week and shot some decent footage. I have one really funny drift that was like 5mph. It was soooooo slow but the shot made it look hilarious.

It had rained the prior day and the lots we went to were half wet half dry, I hit a wet spot and had a super slow wet drift.

We should consider having an install day once the weather starts to warm up.
