The funny thing is, I was in such a hurry (wife was cooking dinner and I needed to be home asap) that I didn't even notice the post until I loaded the pictures into Lightroom. I thought about editing it out, but I got lazy lol.

Care to share any camera settings and post processing you used? For "spontaneous", you had a beautiful location and lighting.
I'd be more than happy to .

So first things first. All shots were handheld, as I forgot to grab my tripod (rushing out the door since the sun was going down quickly). All were shot RAW, f2, iso 100, and with the shutter speed varying quite a bit. I have my camera set up to bracket 5 different exposures in succession to cover my bases really.

From there I import them into lightroom and choose the best one from each set of five shots. Then I make (most of the time very slight, although sometimes big) adjustments to the white balance, exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, clarity, luminance, sharpness, vignetting, etc.

Basically, my goal when editing is to make lots of small adjustments to get the image I'm going for, all while looking back at the original to make sure I don't deviate too much and ruin it lol.

Occasionally I'll overlay multiple images and choose aspects and lighting from each image that I like, and compile them all into one image. That's much more time consuming though.

Great pics. Looks like Arizona. Where did you take it by the way?

This was just outside of Yuba City, CA in the Sutter Buttes. It's a super small mountain range that's all privately owned nowadays.
