BBM is also best way to get a hold of me as well. I think most of you have it. Steve, did you add the app yet?

How did I just see this now? I would've been game for a meet last night. Damn.

Did anyone see the new WRX? Uses the 2L from the Forester and uses Subaru's own DI system and is turbocharged, puts out power in the range I'd like to see on the twins (268 and 258, with the torque available between 2000-5000rpm). I think it's the same 2L used as the base for the engine in these cars... So maybe it'll be an option for 2015.

Hey just wondering who else is forced to drive their FR-S through winter cuz of not being able to afford two cars at once and where they wash off the salt and road muck. It's getting too cold to wash my baby outside lol

I drive mine through the winter. I invest in a car wash "season pass" from petro canada. Costs about $200 with taxes in and is good for 90 days of washes (enough for the winter). There's a promotion on right now that gets you an extra 10 days. Only use touchless washes though. There's a good one on fountain street just north of the 401 across from Conestoga

I have had fairly decent results from the Canadian Tire gas station at the corner of Pinebush and Hwy 24 in Cambridge, but, I usually go to the Esso at Stanley Park in Kitchener. I used to go to Fine Details in Cambridge until they closed. It would be good to find another place that does actual detailing for a good price. I even started a thread about it, but, got next to no responses.

Alright thanks, I'm just worried about the track rails being too high on the touchless car washes

Both of the car washes I mentioned are stationary and don't use a track (and touchless as well).

As is the one I mentioned. It's usually the brush ones that pull you down a track.

I used to be scared with my C6. Not because of the rail height, but because the 285 rear tires felt like they were squeezing into the rails. The FR-S is fine in them, but it feels like it bounces back and forth on the sides of rails as you're dragged through.

hey dudes, I always forget to check the forum and miss the meets in the winter months, which makes me a sad bear. I see a couple of you have been throwing out BBM PIN's, so here's mine to! haha

ps, has anyone heard anything about the fog light packages from toyota? Jamie had mentioned something about it a while ago since its an option on the new ones, just wondering if that had made any progress.

Yeah, the fog lights are available for $480 installed. I have to save up, but, the kits are good for 2013 and 2014. Check out the Guelph Scion Facebook page, they have a pic of the fogs.

on the winter wash topic, you do all have a free hand wash every Saturday from 8-2 at Guelph scion, and the nice thing is you don't have to get out of your warm cars.
