I have one more that I saw on a friend's page. I don't want to go through all of them and just start ripping them and post them everywhere.

This was taken at Universal Studio's back lot during F&F1. Paul's first experience in a GTR from my understanding.

No. They were on Thanksgiving break from the shooting of 7 in Atlanta Ga. The cast was supposed to report back today to finish shooting there but they are being given an extended break while the director, writers and producers try to determine what changes will be necessary to finish the film. They were still supposed to go do some more shooting in the middle east before shooting would have been complete. The film company says the film will be delayed and will not be released on the July 11th date now. It will be finished and released. Paul Walker had also completed two other films that were scheduled for release soon.

Incredibly terrible news. From all accounts, Paul Walker was a great person, doing great things, and a huge car enthusiast to boot.

I was at the event, but left a couple hours before the accident took place. Here are the photos I took.

It was a beautiful day, and some NSX friends and I decided we wanted to support a great cause, so we rolled to the Toys for Tots event hosted at AE Performance.

It is crazy eerie for me to look at this photo...

AE had their collection of cars on display, and you can tell that it's owned by a car enthusiast, not just some rich dude who wanted to buy a lot of cars.

Extremely well curated collection of cars. The E36s are all Lightweight versions.

Tucked way in the back was an M1.

As the morning moved on, more cars came.

So nice.

Oreo

Super nice Karmann Ghia parked next to me.

The amount of fab work on this car is INSANE.

SR20 in this roadster.

Terrible photo of some of the toys getting stacked up in the middle of the warehouse.

Around 1:30 we headed out to lunch and then headed home. A few hours later, I got texts from my friend bearing the bad news. I'm glad I didn't get to see him or meet him because I would've been even more sad than I am now.

No that other piece of German crap was a GT3. I don't know what it is with Porsche but they design cars that go very fast yet when they wreck the occupants die. Even Ferrari and Nissan have fixed that issue. Jay Leno drove a Carrera GT on a racetrack and ended up nearly dying from it spinning out too easily.

The handling or rear and mid-engine cars doesn't lend itself to controllable driving without experience. I believe Dunn crashed a GT3RS, a race car for the streets like the CGT. These are fast cars, fast cars lend themselves to extra-legal speeds easily. The Nissan's AWD and not made of plastic while also being front-engined...a bad crash in any of those cars will kill a man. Bad meaning of course an unlucky hit to the greenhouse, fluid leak, etc.

Leaked funeral scene from FF7. Kind of crazy. In the clip, Paul Walker says "one more funeral"

Dunn was a) drunk when driving, and b) was going north of 200km/h when he crashed head on into a tree..... your not surviving that no matter what car your in so it's a COMPLETELY different scenario to Mr. Walkers passing, in which he was a passenger and had zero control of the outcome

Porsche likes to make raw drivers cars like the GT3/GT2/RS,etc.. The CGT is simply the most extreme example of this, zero TC or ES and 612hp to light up the rears and yes things tend to go wrong. The car is notorious for not tolerating idiots behind the wheel which Rodas could technically (with all do respect) be considered seeing he races cars for a living and should have known better than to push this car to the limits on a road where the margin for error was nilch

Still the they went out in a way only Top Gear could dream of... "entering the pearly gates in a flaming supercar shouting where are the women?!?" R.I.P. guys

What an incredible collection!

I don't think you can blame Porsche for Ryan Dunn, he was like twice the limit when he wrecked the GT3.

When you go fast on public roads, these things happen...especially with incredibly fast and powerful supercars.

It's a damn shame, no reason to play the blame game

I met him once at a car show in Kansas City. It was right after F&F just came out, I saw the Eclipse from the movie.

I barely remember though because I was so young when it came out :-/

The thing is Porsche still doesn't have a cockpit safety system like Ferrari has, the car disintegrates while the cockpit stays intact.
