Reports are saying he died from the impact, not the fire. Not sure how Rodger died though. I'd hope by the impact as well as sitting there in a fire would be worse.

Must have broke loose at high speed and then off the road.
i can see the GT coming out the corner too fast, oversteer, spun out and hit the pole... so sad...

RIP Paul.

This is super depressing, he was an all around awesome guy and he came across as a very genuine person. Same goes for the man driving, his name escapes me this moment, if I recall he helped him work out a lot of the charity events and such. I'm sure they will both be missed terribly by fans and the family they left behind. Let's let this be a lesson to only attempt daring things on tracks where things like this have a chance to be avoided, we owe that to ourselves and our family. The loss of a loved one leaves a huge impact and what happened to Paul shows us that only on a bigger scale.. I hoped they filmed enough of the next movie so we have another small "show" of his enthusiasm towards cars, if not I sure as hell hope they gave him a good send off in the movie.

Don't drive angry, drunk, or to show off. It could never end well and if it has consider yourself lucky thus far. My 5 cents on it all.. Love you all, take care of yourselves!! Anything could happen and this is proof so cherish yo shit! Lol

Not so much luck tonight in San Diego. Large meet with everyone being civilized turned into the cops showing up as a result of rev limiters being hit and burnouts in the parking lot.

Sad that that happened, but I'm still glad that there were some who came to pay their respects to Paul Walker. I'm sure some of the crowd in every meet is going to be disrespectful, but i suppose it comes with the territory...

In other news, I contacted Blipshift about producing a commemorative shirt for PW. One that will have proceeds go to ROWW, and will be something that lot of us will be more than willing to drop $15 on. Hopefully I'll help with the logistics of that, should they decide to go through with it, and I am really pushing to get #RememberTheBuster on it as well, because I feel like it's the perfect tag.

Laced Up's stickers look fantastic, and my friends and I have ordered a lot of them for all of our cars, I'm hoping the shirts will do the same.

Isn't that the one Jackass's Ryan Dunn died in too? I believe that one caught on fire as we'll.

Not sure if it has been mentioned on here yet but going around facebook yesterday and if you look at the google maps link and use the street view you will notice that the car crashed directly on top of a gas line. One might conclude had this accident occured 20 feet either direction they both might still be alive. Very Sad Day for the car enthusiast world for sure! RIP Paul Walker and Roger Rodus

in this article a comment says that was a water line and not a gas line, however even if the car didn't engulfed in flames, the wreck was way too hard to survive...

It's definitely a tragedy...

As much as me and my group of car-friends poke fun of the F&F movies, one thing that can't be argued is that it spring-boarded a lot of people into the "import scene"; and "car-scene" in general - for better or worse. Walker was a definite gear-head, and enthusiast; and from all that I've read and heard, he was a true genuine, stand up guy. I know because of the F&F movies, I've made a lot of great life-long friends, and his passing will (and has) created an empty spot in the hearts of car enthusiasts and racers alike. He will be missed...

Such a tragedy. Most people don't know how much he has helped our industry.
