Neither have I, but after reading I think it's inducer and exducer for example a 62 62 is 62mm 62mm.. I think

Spool time, price and power. 475 is plenty. Now on my twin scroll kit, I'll put the GTX30 on after showing the difference in spool with the GTX28.

COBB did the tune and I assume the install. At Garage Tuning, my old shop, we designed the turbo kit for the Garrett. For them, they sent us the Borg and we made the downpipe fit. The Garrett and Borg made the same top end, but the Garrett spooled way faster. Seems pretty apples to apples to me.

What efr was used. What exhaust housings were used on both the garret and the efr? What was the power range you were working in?

EFR is vaporware still, isn't it? Oh, it's been 3-4 years since release and they're not vaporware anymore? Okay.

I don't remember the specs of the Borg. The Garrett was a GT3582 with a T3 1.06 ar and made 300 whp at 3k, 450 whp at 4k and then made 500+ from around 4500 rpm to 8000 rpm. This was done on CA 91 with meth injection.

May I ask if the GTX28 was the GTX2867R? I doubt it was the 63R. But I'm actually not sure whether you mean GTX3067, GTX3071(I assume this one) or the GTX3076. I know the three have the same turbine wheel and only vary in compressor size but I'm still curious. Also I was considering the GTX3071R BC the compressor map it seems the turbo is at a good spot to make 400bhp tho I don't need that much....yet. But I know I don't have nearly as much experience or knowledge in the topic as you. Could you shed some light on the situation for me so I can make the right voice when the time comes. (If its on relevance I want to make around ~325-350whp) thank you for any insight you can give me. Lastly, why is the bump in hp always far more than the torque with a turbo. It's something I have always been curious about in most small engine mods.

Precision moved to a more understandable platform a few years back. it makes it easier for those who couldnt grasp the Trim size indexes. Their model number are based on the inducer diameter of the wheels. So a 6262 is going to equated to a 62mm compressor and 62mm turbine wheel. The 1st number refers to compressor the 2nd set refers to turbine wheel.

Do you mean that refers to the compressor exducer or is the compressor massive in that. I know that Garrett turbos are signified by the compressor exducer. And do you prefer Borg Warner or Garrett?

Exducer is allot larger than that. 62mm compressor wheel can have up to a 70mm exducer depending on the manufacturer. I prefer Garrett for this particular vehicle. we also build a Focus ST specific turbo kit that we use exclusively BW for a couple of reasons. But it is more of a platform based decision. There will never be a one size fits all approach by us. we use what works best.

That's a big turbo. Far bigger than the Garretts I have been looking at compressor wise topping out at 54 inducer 71 exducer!
