BRZ fender vent question.

Or fake vent rather. Mine came with the center of the vent in Chrome and I hate it. Can the chrome be removed to reveal color matched paint? Or will they need to be painted. Just wondering before I pull these things off.

I painted the chrome with Matt clear, make it looks like brushed aluminum (like the STi BRZ)

Sorry for the late reply. Yes I did remove them. As has been said they are pained under the chrome junk. Just held on with double tape. Came off with no heat and little effort for me. No paint damage either.

I specifically asked for it, not for the chrome but because I like how it makes the center part look bigger. When I have time I plan to remove it, paint it to WRB to match my car and reinstall it.

Mine won't come off. I have a feeling my dealer used something other than 3m tape to put I on.

The chrome vent trim is port installed, not done by dealers. Try warming it up first a little with a hairdryer.
