Got back my OEM STI Ti shift knob I sent to WC Lathe Werks! I got the refinish/torch treatment with brass insert for added weight. I think it came out pretty nice!

Finally found someone who could make the engraving I wanted. Pictures don't do it justice, since the brushed stainless is so hard to photograph.
1lb of smooth shifting. Seems to mute the notches in the shifts quite a bit. Also, the feel of the knob is so much nicer. I could not stand how rough the stitching was on the stock knob. |

I know it's been posted before, but just installed the TRD knob this week, and really liking the look and feel of it. It's not technically the "JDM" one, but for $37 shipped I couldn't resist.

Maybe not for everybody but...
57 years young and growing up around cars in the 60's and 70's I'm a fan of the T-Handle. I had one on my 1992 Miata and now that I have my FR-S I was happy to discover I could fit one. The difference between mine and the one Scottman posted is I've figured a way to cover up the reverse lock sleeve. I bought the Hurst T-Handle, part number 153 0020 ($32.99) and Mr. Gasket Valve Cover Grommets, part number 6376 ($4.99). The open grommet fits nicely over the shift handle lock nut and allows the reverse lockout to operate inside the grommet. The result is a much cleaner look. This shifter makes me much more at one with the car and I'm sure other old farts like myself who used T handles back in the day will appreciate this setup. I'm not necessarily a fan of the Hurst logo but I do like the feel and operation of the t handle. It works for me! Here are my photos:

@zack681720 I thought the Flossy knobs were adjustable with a nut or something?

I would just stack washers around the base and tial and error till its lined up. Kind of like indexing a spark plug.

I wrapped teflon tape around the threads to correct mine. Didn't want to use a nut, which would increase the height of the entire shifting unit.

Thread locker would work to. I used it on my MR2 and if you use the medium or lightest thread lockers, then they come off relatively easily when working on the car
