I'm nearly 90% decided on the OFT header - deciding factor is going with a supercharger vs a turbo later on. I'm leaning towards the sc due to lower cost and relative complexity of install and upkeep and the OFT header will be a supporting mod...
BTW - Shiv, Good job on schooling the unnamed... it must be nice to critique the tunes of someone else while your own tunes are tucked behind a wall of encryption, safe from scrutiny. I love the open nature of the OFT and the willingness of you guys to stand behind your product. (kinda reminds me of the android/apple platform differences... lol) |

So no flex joints on the OFH, unlike the stock headers? Slip joints or anything like that? Hard to tell from pics.
Not trying to spread FUD. Just wanting to know. |

Sound clip of the OpenFlash Header with aftermarket 2.5" mid. Stock overpipe, stock front pipe and stock muffler. I just bolted on the aftermarket midpipe today to see what it would sound like. And it sounds very nice. The sound in the video is pretty amplified. You can tell by how loud the starter motor is. But it will give you a good idea of the tone of the exhaust note. Volume is quite bit quieter in real life. Exhaust volume will get much raspier with the secondary cat removed. It will also be much louder and stinkier. Not my cup of tea (I drove like that for 1 day before putting the stock cat and muffler section back on). But YMMV ![]() Cheers, shiv |
