Hey guys, feel free to message Helix direct on Facebook. That's what I've been doing and they're trying to take care of things.

Just a heads up from JR via email exchange:

Quote:
Anyways I have not been in the forums lately because I am currently busy prepping for SF Auto Salon here in San Francisco (Nov 28-Dec 2)

Also my vendor subscription has expired and my Inbox has been locked (full) for the month and I won't be reactivating it until next week. I will be out for a week for the whole duration of the show/expo.
And another clarification:

Quote:
i think people still confused. Even thought HELIX's FB posted a pic of the clear TOM's on their website it does no mean it's the HELIX version.

The ones posted on their site is still made by DEPO.

they only posted it because a lot of people pre-ordered and the deal fell through so now they are offering the DEPO version first to fulfill all those existing orders (including yours)

so i think that's where the confusion is.

the real HELIX version of the TOM's is still on the works though.
This was pretty much confirmed by Helix to another member on here. I gave in an just bought the Depo ones, figuring I can get the Helix ones when they come out. I'm tired of my BRZ's bootay lookin' tired.

he says he hasn't been on recently due to this and that, but if you look at his past posts, hes been on every day since then and numerous post each day. It "seems" hes still doing business with his other parts that he is selling like the bolts/nuts and other things.

smh lol.

That's fine. I'll let him deal with all that. Just thought I would update with what he told me.

Anyways, he shipped my TOM'S tail lights and gave me a tracking that has been working, so I'll write up my overall review once I've received the tail lights in good, working order.

JR,
the shark fin antenna thread is gone. I mentioned it to you several days ago via PM. You said you would get it re-opened since only three orders were needed to make the group buy go ahead. If you can't get it opened or have given up, I (and others) would appreciate a refund.

Ordered clear side markers from this vendor, received it but it had imperfection and yellowing from the glue. Told me that it was normal but would offer to send me another one with shipping return label. 2 weeks later no response, so I emailed back and he tells me that that what my last message regarding the issue because he couldn't remember, 4 days later no reply again.

Im going to dial in here from my awful experience with this seller, as a warning to anyone else considering purchasing from ZNC.

Pre-ordered 'toms' clear tails around 9mths ago now, and still have not received the product. The product was changed from official toms, to 'helix' copies half way through the pre-order, ZNC never contacted his customers to advise of this, had to find out myself.

Original purchase thread was closed, and 2 new threads were started up relating to this order, once again, no customers were advised..

Both times I requested info from this seller, I didnt get a response for over a week, with the same excuse, 'was at a car show'.

Eventually I got an email with shipping notice, advising that the product had been sent, via regular mail, without tracking #??!! And no option provided for registered mail

And to this date, never received the product, and ZNC said he would provide a refund, but this never happened.

Just been forced to call the bank and revert credit card transaction for a refund, not the first of his customers forced to do so..

Can an admin please remove this scammer from this site, so no other forum members have to go through this same experience.

I'm pretty sure the pre-order from TOM'S clear wasn't open 9 months ago, but here's my experience.

I put my deposit down for Helix clear TOM'S in August because their version wouldn't have the "TOM'S" logo on the lens. A couple of closed and opened threads later we were told Helix was making the same version as Depo and the Helix ones would be available shortly after the Depo ones. That all actually came out correctly and I'm sure was out of his control.

The frustrating part was when I tried to cancel because Helix wasn't removing the TOM'S and I was told I'd be hit with a 10% cancellation fee. I explained that I pre-ordered Helix TOM'S without the logo, as advertised. I decided after a bit that I'd been waiting for these tail lights since they showed up on TOM'S car last year and that if Helix finally did come out with their version without the logo then I could just sell these.

I placed my order the day before Thanksgiving. Here's how the tracking went.

Here's how my package arrived.

JR was nice enough to throw in some license plate frames.

As suspected, I honestly think this all just boils down to irresponsibility and poor communication. JR isn't the first vendor from California that's been like this, I've had issues with nigel-JDMparts, too. However, most of my interior came from nigel-JDMparts despite long-delayed shipments and irregular communication, which I see occurring again here with 86_ZN6.

I'm in the process of installing my tail lights right now. The condition is immaculate for having taken a month to reach me, but I can't really complain as I was only charged $29 to have them shipped to Alaska.

I tend to be much more patient than most because of living in Alaska, where places you want to go are far off and things you want take forever to reach you, and I think this vendor requires an enormous deal of patience. If you're generally an impatient person, then you might want to steer clear. Otherwise I have no REAL complaints except for what I've noted: Seller is irresponsible and a poor communicator. However, I think this is a work in progress.

I'm sorry for everyone else that's had so many issues. I was concerned I might have a similar fate, especially being in Alaska, but everything has been good so far.
