does these need clear coating as I have read somewhere? what wheel nuts do you recommend?

All the ST-L that I have seen so far have been clear coated, but we still ask for it anyway just to he safe

how is this remedied - any aluminum/metal polish? I'm waiting for my set but did not have it clear coated. Pondering on whether I should leave it "naked" or have it clear coated

Yep pretty much, but they tend to take up a little more time to keep them looking nice.
My main gripe with coated is that I'd often let things go and then suffer the irritation and disappointment when I discovered that the blemishes were under the clear.
Which meant I'd eventually be doing something like this at some point.
