No exception except the exception of being slower and more prone to catastrophic failure.

People please learn the difference between an 'automatic', Dual Clutch transmission, and sequential manual.

Not really, exception still there. Paddle shifting a car SUCKS, give me a stick shifter any day and all day.

When you can burn 100K on a car, you have money to back it up in case of catastrophic failure. I'll take the risk.

Unless you have "race" ready car that revs fast and makes a ton of HP having a shift your own will always be more fun. Lower HP cars like the twins really suits a manual trans.

This thread is not about stick vs auto. Theres a million other waste of time threads. The point is the auto guys are getting shafted! Plain and simple we pay the same price that a manual car does in terms of license fees. For what no support, no features!! While that money goes into more RnD for manual cars. How the hell is that fair? Life's not fair but we can choose not to just lie over and take it up the ass. With out people speaking up nothing ever changes in the world. If there not going to support us at least cut the lisence fees in half for the auto guys.

Myself I already paid like I said before so they got my money. But they can still change for the future. And now that other tuning options are here. They will be loosing market share. They could at least give some incentives over the other company's.

Can you tune the car with ECUTEK?

Flatfoot shifting, launch control... its not really that important.
The main feature is the ability to tune the car, what core features are the AT guys missing?

Its missing Launch Control and raised limiters, not really crucial features nor worth feeling shafted over.. The auto already does FFS and auto blip.

As above, the license isn't for racerom features but the actual ability to use ECUtek to tune the car. Theres a lot more depth to it than just the add on features.

Well lets face it, if you really cared about performance you would have purchased a car with a manual transmission.

lol its not a debate about what's the better transmission in this car. Its about software features. trolls don't know how to stop changing the topic.

The way our platform works means that once we have RaceROM features for one car it is easier [read quicker] to develop them for other cars we support. But the GT-R is turbo charged and a vastly more sophisticated beast [as one forum member quoted!] so we can do more things. In terms of the amount of turbo charged FR-S/GT-86/BRZs around, it’s small at the moment, but once it grows there will be an opportunity to bring things across.

So your waiting to release more features you have already developed for other cars? I think its foolish to wait. Personally I have been waiting for more development on the ECU before putting a turbo charger in my car. I know ECUtek already has developed a great product but it has been limited to what I know is needed to be done for my application and the GTR has some of the options. Maybe the tuners I have talked to are not as familiar with the product as I am hoping but I would not wait to release features for a product that sounds like its not very difficult on ECUtek's end.

I would have bought day one with my car but now I waiting for a better option. How many others are waiting also?
