Probably worth calling Lachute Subaru if you're looking at the BRZ, I think a few here have purchased from there, plus they are mod-friendly.

Isn't servicing going to be a pain? Lachute is like an hour away, right?

Speaking of which, I found this:

Would you? Not sure I wanna buy a demo car that's been beat for 9000 km by test drives though lol

May not be a test driven car could just be the owners or managers car for the year or something. 9000 is allot of clicks for test drives.

On a related note, anyone here, especially the track guys, changed out their transmission fluid yet?
Changed transmission, differential and engine oil after the break I'm period. The transmission definitely felt smoother after the tranny oil change

Wow, I've done 7 oil changes already. Due for another shortly...

I'll need to switch tranny and diff though, sound like Motul 300 is working well for others, so will probably go that route.

I'm guessing you are at that many because of the extra track duty.

For those who have not been on the roads today, man is it slippery. If it weren't for all the cars on the road it would have been powerslide heaven.

Talked to Frisby this morning

I won't be using them for anything besides tire swaps.

Brake job 5 hours labor (replace rotors and pads)
exhaust swap 2 hours labor
and the kicker,
crank pulley 3 hours. ( the forum states 15 minutes )

Anybody know of someone a bit more reasonable and trustworthy? Does Chez Andre's except beer as payment?

PS Started the process of gently reminding my wife of the mods to come next year. So far so good.

Why the trip to Ogdensberg Ken? Or is this classified till spring.
BTW. I'll be doing donuts in my work parking lot at 3pm today. Love the snow.

Ya sounds like you got hosed for labour Paul. I could do all that in less time without all the luxury stuff like a hoist. 2 hours to swap an exhaust .... Bahaha that's terrible!

Hey Paul,
I'm guessing you only got a quote for that stuff, not installed right?
Those prices are nuts.

Yeah, we'll do a tech day in the spring (or sooner if you like) at the house. All easy stuff.
Today I did a tire swap and rear brake servicing on my brother-in-law's car, 45 mins.

I was just curious about what they would charge. Although I did a pretty good job at keeping a straight face, I was shocked on the inside. Will be adding the exhaust in May when it warms up and the brakes sometime next summer. I might take you up on your offer If I can't find someone more reasonable. Besides pints I might have something else of interest car related. We'll talk.
