I wonder if you DID happen to crash the front end (say a 20 mph hit), if the insurance company would deny the claim bc you removed crash protection from the car? Looking at the picture, it's very clear that instead of a large bar sticking out and transferring impact to the frame, a minor front end impact would have the radiator and whole front area taking the force of the impact - possibly causing a LOT more damage and possibly injury.

While the idea isn't to ever crash the car, the purpose of paying for insurance is that if you do crash, you're covered. And you don't need to be a bad driver either - someone could pull in too far to a parking space and push the front of your car in. I could see an insurance adjustor having a field day with this.

Yea...there is no way that that beatrush bar has been tested to the stringent safety standards that the original crash bar has. In the case of an accident the insurance company would not cover a cent, that beatrush bar basically makes paying for your insurance policy a literal waste of money...because they aren't going to pay out if you do crash. They can also claim that the injuries you sustained were more severe due to the fact that you removed it and therefore they can deny your liability insurance too...sticking you with your own medical bills. It's basically just a stupid idea all around.

In the description, the Beatrush bar is supposed to actually stiffen the front end up compared to the stock crash bar.

Hearing though that running this part may affect my insurance in a crash, I may simply retain the stock bar and paint it flat black and make it as invisible as possible.

Either way, I'll be cutting the mouthpiece out and adding a wire-mesh grill, which will greatly improve airflow over the intercooler and radiator.

Stiffer doesn't mean safer, the front crash bar is designed as a unit with the rest of the car to crumple in an accident in such a way that it reduces impacts to the occupant just like the rest of the car. Removing it and replacing it with something stiffer can in theory transfer more force to the occupant causing more severe injuries. At least that is what your insurance company would claim if you were to get in an accident. The beatrush bar is more meant for full race cars who have a full roll cage and other more complete safety features that negate the need for such safety features.
