CounterSpace Garage x ImperiousRex Super Lap Battle Street RWD 1:59.504 (BRP 13CW)

Please excuse the heinous error that cost me over 2 seconds on my lap time...

I'm not shifting as much as I could, the shifts themselves are slower, and I short shift a bit...

What did Ryan do in the S2k in that same class?

Also posted in another thread I see a 900HP AWD Nissan GTR do a 1:57 while a FWD Integra did a 1:52?

ha ha! not bad for "fail-wheel-drive"!

The FWD Integra is piloted by a fellow S2k driver Dr. Tim Kuo aka "stinkytofu". The GTR is Roy.

Ryan... was a DNF. We suffered a brake (rotor) failure. It took out the caliper hard line as well, and it ended our day. We desperately looked for ANY parked s2k that we could borrow brakes from, as Ryan was on pace to take 1st in class, but we couldn't find any.

@CSG Mike How does the timing work for this event? Do you only have a few laps to set your best time? Do you get the whole session (20 mins) and have to wait for a clear shot and go? I did not see any other traffic out there.

God, I love the sounds that Integra makes!

Congratz on your time Mike. What are the current mods on the car for this run?

1 20-car 20 minute practice session in the beginning of the day.

4 10-car 10 minute "hot lap" sessions in 60 minute intervals. This works out to 2 hot laps on this track, as the track MUST be cleared for the next group of cars.

The track is 2.680 miles in this configuration, so there's not too much traffic. It also works out to an average velocity of 81 mph during my lap of 1:59. It means the track record has an average velocity of 96.5mph....

This is @ImperiousRex's car. We added a HFC the night before (to qualify for street class) without having time to retune, and also swapped out the Cusco rear LCAs for SPL rear LCAs, without having time to re-align.

If you watch the video of the Civic chasing, you'll notice that I am completely unable to pull away on the straights (he botched the entry onto the front straight where I re-pass him). The civic weighs about 3100 lbs, and has 250hp.

You said that you couldn't pull away from him in the straights a few times. It feels like you are highlighting something here but I can't quite grasp it...

Are you trying to say that it is not because of the whp that you ran the time or out ran the civic? Or are you trying to say that the turbo kit is not that powerful?

Did the civic have downforce?

lol please elaborate your thoughts on the car/time/competition/boost.

Also is that civic 250 whp or 250 crank. It sounds SO GOOD when it hits 8-9k rpm zone. Mmmmm

It's just a number, people buy too much into numbers. The civic has bolt-ons + cams + tune, and puts down 250 at church. If you were to ask me, I'd say it is about 250 flywheel hp, and tuned exceedingly conservatively to preserve the engine; the same setup can make 280 on race gas and an aggressive tune.

The BRZ doesn't make as much power as I'd like for it to make is what I'm saying.

Unknown, we didn't have time to retune with the cat in place.
