I got a call back about a good job for the holidays, with the potential of being long term. After the call I was pretty excited since I had overcome quite a few objections. Then I realized, I hadn't talked to the actual interviewer. The actual interviewer is going to call me if they think I'm good material. That means they had too many applications and had somebody else trying to narrow it down for the actual interviewer. They had a concern that I didn't put any mechanical experience. I had neglected to put my automotive and construction experience since I thought it was iffy. I mean, I've only helped my parents build a few houses and done basic maintenance; air filters, fuel filters, and a fuel pump or two. No actual work experience. Dagnabbit, I knew I should have sold myself a bit more.
