A stretch here , a tuck there and voila! The concept already seems to be a bit thicker in the engine compartment anyway.
No. I have it on good authority that Subaru has already sworn on several religious deities that they would not make another AWD coupe. Considering the WRX is a 3200lb ordeal and this concept is "claiming" a svelte 1250(2755lbs). RWD is the only way this concept makes any sense.

The curb weight is ridiculously low. Even if they somehow managed to somehow save 40-50lbs over the coupe, the CVT adds at least another 40-50lbs over a MT. I would expect this concept to weight at least 80-100lbs more than the coupe with a CVT. Not just because it's also longer and taller than the coupe but it has a bit more interior for the folding flat.

Our 14 yo gets the passenger seat and had to move it forward putting her in an uncomfortable position to give my wife enough room to sit behind her. An extra 2” of room in the back is not going to help. Having only 2 doors is not going to make it easy to get children out of a car seat from the back either.

I really don’t see a need/market for a small RWD station wagon, sorry shooting brake, version of our car. I just hope Subaru doesn't try to do to the BRZ that BMW is doing with the MINI Cooper; a version for almost every demographic.
The demographic is anyone who doesn't already own an SUV. 2-3 more inches would make the back seats usable with someone of my height in the driver seat. I'm 6' and there is only 2-3" between the front and back seat. So realistically, I couldn't drive with someone in the back seat. There's also the added selling point of a hatch.

Agreed. I don't understand why anyone would be pushing for AWD in this car. If you wanted an AWD car, why didn't you just buy a WRX? More practical, way faster, and it has AWD for around the same price...

Precisely. You can't have everything you want. If you want an AWD coupe, buy an Audi.

You wouldn't have to drive it and you are a little off on the size. I don't think it would be terribly smaller. I don't have to have an AWD platform. Subaru said it was the way they thought SUVs might be going. So an AWD could make sense.

I would have loved for the BRZ to have a hatch instead of a trunk...without changing the shape of the car.

Having said that...Wings' version is pretty. Would be nice to have side and other 3/4 view (the back) too please

Take out the "SUV" part. And the CVT part. Make it a sportscar and I'm so in. Hell yes.

I would love too, but wait it won't be offered any more after this year, and I won't be buying anything until next summer.

Yes, please, but...

Would love a shooting brake / hatch that looks as much like the current BRZ/FRS as possible OR one that's a little sport wagon. I had an '80 Supra (with a hatch) and loved it. My current Mazda Protege5 has a hatch and I adore it.

Then if they'd just bring back Galaxy Blue Silica.... WHY did they kill that color??
