The curb weight is ridiculously low. Even if they somehow managed to somehow save 40-50lbs over the coupe, the CVT adds at least another 40-50lbs over a MT. I would expect this concept to weight at least 80-100lbs more than the coupe with a CVT. Not just because it's also longer and taller than the coupe but it has a bit more interior for the folding flat. Quote:

Precisely. You can't have everything you want. If you want an AWD coupe, buy an Audi.

You wouldn't have to drive it and you are a little off on the size. I don't think it would be terribly smaller. I don't have to have an AWD platform. Subaru said it was the way they thought SUVs might be going. So an AWD could make sense. |

I would have loved for the BRZ to have a hatch instead of a trunk...without changing the shape of the car.
Having said that...Wings' version is pretty. Would be nice to have side and other 3/4 view (the back) too please |

Take out the "SUV" part. And the CVT part. Make it a sportscar and I'm so in. Hell yes.

Had an M Coupe, maybe that's why the idea of a hatch BRZ appeals so much to me. My M Coupe could carry a keg in the back, but was really limited by the fuel tank being between the hatch and the seats, so pass through didn't really work. Just putting a snow board inside was tough.

Yes, please, but...
Would love a shooting brake / hatch that looks as much like the current BRZ/FRS as possible OR one that's a little sport wagon. I had an '80 Supra (with a hatch) and loved it. My current Mazda Protege5 has a hatch and I adore it.
Then if they'd just bring back Galaxy Blue Silica.... WHY did they kill that color?? |
