Was wondering why the RPF1's are so popular (I'm kind of a noob, if anyone's been paying attention) and decided to look wheels up by weight for once. Holy crap, 14.8 for a 17x7? I really wish I liked the way they look, I'd like to explore the dynamics of less rotational mass.

(Though to be honest, being the noob I am, weight doesn't matter much to me.)

^ That is a very dangerous thing. When I first saw the F-Type I kind of liked it, but I don't like convertibles. If it's getting a coupe... Uh-oh.

The rotational mass might be hard to notice, but apparently some people think they can feel the effect of less unsprung mass. I kind of want RPF-1s for this reason, a hair over 10 pounds for the 15x7s. I wish they made 15x6s for my front wheels, a 9 pound wheel would be awesome. It comes out to a 10% reduction in unsprung mass or so, which might make riding over bumps a hair smoother.

If I had time to figure out mounting (and money) I would get aluminum Wilwood 2 piston calipers, saves 4 pounds unsprung mass per corner as well. 35 pounds to lose is VERY hard to find on my car.
