A few laps at Sebring on my first session after being Solo qualified. Was getting used to how different the car felt with less weight. I was taking the conservative line through 17 because that's what the club required for safety. I'll be taking the faster line next time I go.

Track: Road Atlanta
Car: 2013 BRZ 6MT Mods: All listed here This time I mounted the microphone in the trunk with the back seats up, clipped to the carpet right behind the driver's side tail light. Still managed to capture some wind noise, but it's right above the muffler so the exhaust note is pretty crisp back there. Enjoy the music from the header at sustained wide open throttle! Saturday afternoon with E85, diffuser set for max downforce. Some really cool clouds and sunlight peeking through them during this session. HAhaha...I feel you about the longing for green! Rosamond ain't exactly paradise. What was your best lap in the stock BRZ? Mine was a 1:47.7 in a stock FRS...stock tires too. I was too scared to turn the traction control off though! Time to make some money and start buyin' some damned parts!! |

I'm taking a conservative approach, as I don't want to risk any offs and/or damage. T9 (entering hot lap): I'm not carrying enough speed, and leave a lot (~6 ft) of track-out space. Compare where the position of the track is when I apex T9 and when I track out on T9. That's the margin (~3-4mph, which is nearly a second alone) T1, I enter slower, apex early, and hug, and don't need the full track out. T2, I brush the brakes on entry, instead of going in WOT and scrubbing the speed T3, I turn earlier than needed, and don't WOT as early as I can T4, I don't stay WOT around the turn, lifting slightly to keep the rear tucked T5, I take a "power" line and hug the turn, instead of using the full track-out, again, to prevent any possible offs from unforseen oversteer. I also enter about 10 mph slower than I can. This is easily 1+ seconds T6, this line is a result of the T5 line T7, not a turn at our speeds T8, simply WOT T9, I brake early, and too much, not wanting to risk an off on the entry or track out. That's why it's the wuss line
