.Yes, you do live in a great location to be driving an FR-S. I reckon I passed near where you live, when I drove from Verona to Venice ..... back in the late 60s. Great mountain road driving North of where you live! humfrz |

It is my first sports car and also my first car with a manual transmission (my last car was a Ford Focus 2005 hatchback with an automatic, so this is quite a jump for me!) Our first date has been smooth for the most part, with a few hiccups here and there, but I feel it'll be a long-lasting relationship. ![]() Driving a manual sure takes some adjusting though! |

First manual ..... hmmm ..... remember, the rev limiter will "save" your car going UP the gears ..... but it WILL NOT "save" your car going DOWN the gears. So, be careful when downshifting, to get it into the gear you're aiming at .... ![]() humfrz |

Congrats Jaywest717 on your new FR-S. Yes a manual Trans will take some adjusting as humfrz said watch your speed when downshifting. But you catch on before you know it. Great cars you should really enjoy once you get it. And be extra care on incline that you have to stop on; rollback can be dangerous.

new to the site. After about 12 years or so in rotaries, seems like Mazda is just about done with them, so looking for something that reminds what drew met to the first generation RX-7. Simple, light, and fun.

![]() Welcome over here to the FR-S/BRZ side of fun driving. Yep, I'm the same ol humfrz as on the miata.net. I sold my NC in April of this year and bought an FR-S. As I recall, you are from Quebec and had a GG 2007 with a RSII muffler. Are you still retired? Good to hear you like your BRZ ...... fun cars ain't they! humfrz |
