I will agree that the game was a lot more physical back then but have you seen LeBron? 6'8" 260lbs of solid muscle, i'm sure the guy could've held his own, let alone survive.

of course he is a monster. especially at his position but you will never see an all time great in a flop compilation or being carried off the court for leg cramps. lebron doesnt play well angry like kobe or jordan and in the nineties, there were plenty of defenders who could make lebron angry.

Wait, can I change two of mine? I remember playing NBA JAM, and Bill Clinton and Al Gore were pretty decent.. so I'm going to sub them in somewhere.

LOL flopping is new to the game, while I'm not a fan of it, we can thank Vlade for the introduction, now everyone does it and I've seen Kobe do it plenty as well.....

Regarding Lebron not playing well angry and that somehow making him less of a player (which it doesn't, asinine perspective)...you miss Game 6 Boston Miami 2012? A pissed off Lebron annihaliated the game of basketball, he's done it plenty.

i know flopping is relatively new. it doesnt change the fact that the intensity of defense is different. and yeah when he dominated that game six, he wasnt mad. they were dominating. why would he e frustrated then? not playing well under certain circumstances does, in fact, make him a lesser player. hes an amazing talent but hes short of where kobe and jorddan were.

Again who can you count on to be that guy that will put his team on his back when the time comes? Who's got the killer instinct and drive to get the job when the game is on the line?

Jordan has done it.
Kobe has done it.
Bird has done it
Shaq has done it.
Magic has done it.
And same goes for the other great players that I have not mentioned...

Every team needs that kind of player that demands the ball and want to finish the game on their terms.
However, Lebron has rarely shown us that. That is... until last year's playoffs. He finally wanted to be that guy and deserved that win.

A better question to ask though, who would you give the ball with a few seconds on the clock to win the game?

The guy who worked his ass off to become a better player or the guy who was more fortunate/born with skills/characteristics to play a certain sport?
I ask that because who do you think will work harder and try harder in the end?

This is just another unexplicable LeBron stereotype.

Most Game-Tying/Go-Ahead FG in Playoffs
Final 24 Secs. of 4th Qtr/OT Since 2003-04

LeBron James 7-16
Kobe Bryant 5-17
Kevin Durant 5-12
Dirk Nowitzki 5-12

Jordan finished his career 9-18

AND

Not that any Jordan lover is going to care but James has 36 career Triple Doubles and counting. Jordan only had ONE.

Pretty sure D-Wade, LBJ and D-Rose have admitted to flopping...er, selling the foul.

No love for Tim Duncan, the PF GOAT?:broken heart:

PG: Oscar Robertson, but leaving out Gary Payton was hard.
SG: Michael Jord-shit. Jerry West.
SF: LBJ.
PF: Tim Duncan
C: David Robinson

I was going to play Timmy at PF, but couldn't decide on a center. Then I was going to pick Dirk for spacing, but his D isn't anything to write home about. I thought about a KG/Duncan front line, but decided the extra size of David Robinson and proven utter dominance defensively was worth a lot. Hard to leave Kareem out, too.

6'9" Magic is just hard to match up with.

These would be amazing games to watch though.

I kind of want to have LBJ play SG and bring Larry Bird in.

Youre right defense today is considerably more organized, much more intense and effects the flow of offense much more then anytime in NBA history. While the defense isnt as physical its much harder to breakdown. I dont think you watched game 6 if you dont think Lebron was angry, he was on a different level focus wise and thats because of what KG & Pierce had said/done to him the game before. LBJ dominated, not Mia as a team.

Also, he passed Kobe years ago, Kobe isnt even close to as good as Lebron is, MJ still retains the crown for now.

Hmm, I gotta admit, stats don't lie.

But I still don't see the drive in LeBron like MJ or Kobe does though.

I think Bird of Magic are better comparisons to LBJ.

Going back to the original post, MJ can't play against himself.
