Take the day off and run a full tank of fuel through it. Does anyone know if these will have a "break in procedure"?

I'm sure the owner's manual will specify something. Of course, every car enthusiast in the world has his own idea of proper break-in.

Yes!

Today I would check fluids and tire pressures and make sure my Blackstone bottle was ready for the upcoming 1st-oil-change sample.

Our new '12 Impreza Sport with the FB20 has a 1000 mile engine break in with varying RPMs, nothing higher than 4000 and no cruise control. Many different ideas to break engine in.

Once I got it back to the garage, I'd probably pull up a chair and look at it while giving the manual a token effort and then drive it until I can drive no more I don't know if I could drive it straight up, I would way too excited

Today I would stop home after work, throw some camping gear in the back, and go for a night hike. Perhaps park the car lakeside and hike up to the overlook so I can go to sleep admiring the car in the moonlight.

be sitting in it in the garage pretending to drive it like I was 5 years old all over again since it is snowing and my car will not be seeing any road salt.

Lousy winter weather here today. I would just drive my dirty car home and stop for Japanese take-out along the way. Then drive super careful so I don't spill anything in the car!

I wonder what the guys at the Gunma Plant would be having for dinner.
