I had something complex typed up but the bottom line is that you'll likely be financially responsible for the cost of the job, either you trust the dealership to do it or shop around for a shop like others have mentioned. Check the local subforum for recommended shops, the guys that have the most experience doing this job on this car will be the guys who are modifying for high power or track duty.
I'm inclined to believe that the dealership may have roasted it (there's plenty of horror stories from dealerships working on much higher value vehicles) but it's irrelevant, any evidence of abuse would be put on you anyway, it's not worth fighting in my mind unless you've got dashcam footage or the car reeked of clutch when you picked it up. |
