I want to know more about the "Legacy games" for PS4.

My XBox died...and I wanna play Darksouls.

If I can play DarkSouls (even if I have to re-buy DarkSouls) on a PS4...I will buy a PS4 in the morning.

Not at midnight, but will be picking one up later today for my son, who preordered it and then couldn't go pick it up due to school.

Not surprised there are some failures, there always is. If its really 0.4% that's pretty doggone good.

The real question is does the hard drive have crickets, and does the HDMI port cause condensation on your monitor/TV?

I probably will end up with a PS4 eventually, but not right now for two reasons. One, can't really afford it, need to pay off student loans. And two, never buy the first set of a new system. The first ones out of the factory always have issues.

I didn't go out at midnight and apparently SOL now. I've called every single store that opened at 8am today such as Target and they had lines. Xbox 1 it is!

We just set mine up in the lab, and I don't have either of those issues. It also doesn't wobble.

The HDMI/ no display issue was found to be a bent pin in the HDMI port. So either they got bent in manufacturing or people bent them accidentally when plugging the cord in. Kotaku made a post about the fix. So not a major hardware failure. Anyways take a good look in there and see if everything is lined up properly before plugging a cord in.

Hooked up the ps4 last night. I like. Sleak, seamless interface, & everything is arranged just so.
Ps vita integration is flawless. I was able to play killzone shadow fall on the vita without issue as the primary screen & controller. Also got my galaxy s3 connected & can be used as a secondary where supported & as a text input device too.

The dual shock 4 is also very well done & put together.

Very pleased. Just ordered bf4 here at work through the psn & it should be downloading to my ps4 as I type.

Very good system. Bravo. Even the 200mb day one system patch dl'd in a few minutes & installed quickly. Kz's update downloaded while the game was playing & installing the update (via the notifications menu on the new xmb) wasn't like the ps3 but very similar to how the vita does things, so it was both new, improved, and yet familiar.

That's very good to hear, because that was a horrendously s**tty process on my PS3 that often took as long as an hour between downloading and installing separate system and game updates.

Well, I never had much of an issue DL'ing the ps3 updates either, but the ps4 was definitely slicker at the process.

But much of your experience there will be due not to the system but to your available bandwidth. My internet on my DOCSIS 3.0 modem is anywhere from 22-35 mbps down depending on local traffic on my part of my isp's trunk. At around 1 AM, it was up around the 35 mbps mark.

I get 30mbps here and have no issue downloading and installing anything for my PC or my 360. My PS3 however, was (and still is) a nightmare in downloading things. I tried wifi, and sometimes was so bad that signal would drop. Then I tried a hard line, and while it didn't drop, it wasn't any faster. Chalk it up to having an older PS3 model and a horrible network card or something (I have the fat one that came with the MGS4 bundle). It was a nightmare that killed any motivation to want to buy or play new games. 360 updated almost instantaneously, if not then 30 sec to a minute at the most.

Just my experience.
