Has anyone tried the HKS Intake Duct as yet? wondering if this would help give more air and keeping to a OEM look.
What is your baseline whp before the kit? What is the outside temperature? Where are you measuring the IAT?

my base line 154whp 141ftlb, stock
added Borla header and 3" performance exhaust, AFE DIF = 168whp 146ftlb
Added Spritex with Delicious Base Tune = 190whp 173ftlb
After logs reviewed = 216whp 181ftlb
All the above been on our 95 RON evivalent to US 91OCT (our gas could be worse than your 91) and same dyno
Outside temp recocorded on logs = 41 degrees celcius
IAT ( Have the IAT sensor) temps recorded = 75 degrees celcius (need to verify were the IAT takes temps from)
MAF max on dyno 180gs
Need to get more airflow and reduce temps is the advise given

180g/sec is pretty low, however that doesn't actually mean how much air is going into your engine, it's just the output from the MAF sensor. Let's call it bananas. You have 180 bananas per second. I have just over 200. It's a lot colder here though, 5C this morning! It makes a huge difference!

I regularly see 70C ACT's with ambients around 20C, though. Sprintex have confirmed this is to be expected. If you're only getting 75C with 41C ambient, then that seems to show the performance of the charge cooler.

So you think installing the Intake duct would be a waste of money?

the other thing concerning me is I have the OEM MAP sensor in at the moment and the AMP = 1.37, does this mean I'm getting .37 boost? or is the sensor maxed at 1.37
what should the boost be on the IC with 75mm pulley

Yes.

Sensor max'd.

Boost will depend on restrictions in the system, massively affected by cam angles. You want as little boost as possible whilst retaining air flow. I get up to about 0.75 bar, but i'd prefer to drop that if I could.

if the stock MAP sensor is at max, would this affect performance?

No. It just means that any tables in the ECU which require a pressure input will not function correctly. So far this doesn't seem to have any impact on power on a supercharged engine. It's a bit different on a turbo car, running EcuTek, where you want to have boost cuts and custom tables which use manifold pressure as an input, e.g. the custom closed-loop boost control tables.

So im worrying for nothing, car is achieving good results based on our poor quality fuel.
Time to try Octane Booster, I'm sure tuner will be able to get more gain.

Thanks for your valuable advice

@whataboutbob running the base tune bill flashed before install. Will be getting it on dyno for a delicious custom tune as soon as he is available. However, you are more then welcome to come by today, you have day off?

Put the car on the dyno today to see what the intercooler would do in the heat.
My previous run in cool temps of 28 degrees Celsius (84.4 Fahrenheit) was 160wkw 239nm (215whp 178ftlb) 3rd gear on 95 Ron (91 Oct)

This run was at temps of 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit). What I also did is compare the difference between a 3 rd gear pull to a 4th gear pull (95 RON =91 OCT)
Due to heat I lost 10wkw 8nm (13whp 6ftlb)

GRAPH WONT UPLOAD WILL SORT OUT SHORTLY

So even with inter cooler but higher temp by 10 deg C you lost 10+ whp? While it's obvious the intercooler helps but questionable just "how much".

Is the intercooler really supposed to help with the ambient temp on a few dyno pulls?

Exactly this. With very little air passing over the charge cooler rad in comparison to real world driving its a bit of a weird test. You really need to be viewing post charger temps and maybe even the coolant termp to make good judgments.

My IAT reading should be relocated to the manifold so I can watch on my P3 gauge but I'll also be running the MAF IAT and have a custom ∆temp map. This is being tested shortly before my install next month.
