Solid block, like the solid rear axle used in the Mustang?

I think it's safe to say that both are a given.

Drawbacks aside, I really do like the new 5.0. It's about time Ford made an up-to-date performance V8.

....Now they just need to add that bamboo. I vote skip the strut tower braces and go for a full bamboo roll cage! Lightweight and totally JDM. Also, I'm thinking that if they put a proper carbon fiber shell tightly wound around the bamboo core it may solve the flex issues? Maybe.

The new mustang v8 will weigh 1000 lbs more than what it's believed the 86 will weigh. No thanks. Gimme a roofed go-cart, boxer engine, and 6 speed manual thank you. Oh and to stay on topic, the bamboo floor mats might be a good idea.

Just imagine that Toyota didnt want to call it anything fancy.... and only called it the FT-86. There would be so many disapointed people.

FT86 now comes with the uber rare bamboo edition.
Comes with polished bamboo gear stick, Bamboo sway bars, light weight Bamboo drive shafts.. and more

I'm actually hoping they keep the FT-86 name... I think it sounds hardcore.

"What do you drive, broseph?"
"...Broheim...I drive the FT-86."
"Shit. That sounds bad ass......son."

See?

If it is Named Celica, then I will drive it off the lot and then debadge it.
Maybe I'll get crazy and custom make an FT-86 Emblem to replace it.
