Not sure if this has been posted yet but the options for 2015 WRX/STI have been revealed:

http://jalopnik.com/2015-subaru-wrx-...ion-1464515115

WRX is FINALLY getting that 6-speed manual! And also a CVT

I'm actually more interested in the possibility of swapping the WRX turbo into the FR-S/BRZ. From what I've heard/read, the WRX uses the same FA engine only without Toyota DI.

Exactly the same engine. Their contract will end on 2015 or so I heard. Until then, expect the BRZ to have Turbo-DI system, and pushing 350+ HP

no specs on the STI yet

I don't get why the wrx gets more and more the the sti goodies every year...I mean, I do but I feel like there's less and less of a reason to get the sti other than prestige.

For some reason I'm just against it lol

We haven't heard any specs on the STI. Even if it's still a 300ish hp 2.5L with 6MT and Brembos...if it's riding on a modified Impreza chassis, that means it lost around 200lbs from the GR chassis. Add DI, possibly twin-scroll, and we're talking a car that should have been out 5 years ago to compete with the Evo. Better late than never though.

No one knows what the STI actually will be is my point.

I would guess all of the above, plus the big one the STi always has over the normal WRX, front and rear REAL mechanical LSD's and an active center differential.

As far as what has been covered I like everything, except the fact that they don't mention a rear LSD... I take that to pretty much confirm my suspicion that the base car is not getting one.

So the new WRX has 268hp...that's pretty awesome. Now the main thing to do will be to wait and order their stock exhaust manifold+turbo and ecu and then bolt that up to the FR-S. Though I do wonder about the compression they are using. I would love to be able to use stock wrx parts. I feel like 268 would be ideal for this application.
