If the 2015 WRX looks anything like the pictures I've seen...count me out

The world doesn't need another generic, reasonably priced "sporty" four door lol

Indeed. Subaru needs to bring the performance imprezas back to looking like sports sedans as opposed to awd "sporty" economy sedans (which is what the base Impreza is, but the wrx/sti decidedly is NOT).

If these are truly leaked pictures, I conclude it is ugly. It resembles the shape of a honda civic. For a subaru it is lackluster and boring.(source: http://www.leftlanenews.com/2015-sub...-la-debut.html )

Suspension travel is what enables the flick maneuver but body roll is what you see out of it. I see where you are coming from. There may not be a lot of it but it is inherent what allows the one side of the car to compress the other side and throw it out of balance towards where you want it to go.

Kinda like forcing a normally stable reaction into unstable state to a position where you want it to. LaPlace transforms anyone?

If you want the WRX you are asking for, you need to install those fancy adjustable shocks which can change their rates using electric effects or whatever Cadillac calls them. I think Audi also uses them but I may be wrong. That would give you best of both worlds but of course, isn't as durable as what they use in real rally cars.

Sure, but he wasn't referring to some transmission he's never driven.

If that's what the new WRX looks like this is very disappointing. It looks horrible and I'd never consider buying one.

Typical response for a redesigned impreza is typical. It will be a success like they all are.

youre going to have to explain to me how suspension travel allows that flick to be possible. im fairly certain is just overloading the tires. especially considering how with rally cars you arent ever going to run out of travel due to low speed compression.

Ugh, that roofline/greenhouse make me want to die.

Oh look, a boost gauge! From the factory! That took long enough.

Thanks dsgerbc.

Thanks dsgerbc.
It's been a factory option for a long time, but hardly worth the money. It's a mechanical boost guage whose accuracy and stability has long been a joke... an old, tired, not-funny-anymore joke (the old SPT boost guage, that is).
