So i'm planning to visit my hometown end of December i'm currently living in Texas. I just bought a 2014 FRS and was wondering how it handled in the snow? I don't want to buy snow tires since i'll only be there about a week. i've never had problems in the past driving in the snow but i've never had a rear wheel drive vehicle before.

Did anyone here go last winter without snow tires? Honestly as long as the roads are clear it probably be fine but if we got snow you might be in some real trouble without snow tires.

I had mine on the ice in March. It worked, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're super careful. I certainly wouldn't take it out in that state unless the plows have been around. As a matter of fact, I took a vacation day the day it snowed for just this reason, even though I have the option of working from home.

Hey all, FWIW I found out that my tires blew when I ran over that metal trash POS just before I had the accident. I didnt notice it until just yesterday because that accident took off both of my rear rims so it was hard to determine what actually did happen. I mentioned it before but a cop was behind me when it happened, the video made me sad and I dont think anyone could have avoided it from where I was at. argh my baby!!

I drove it in the snow once, NEVER AGAIN(Never will). These stock Primacy HP tires dont grip at all and even with the granniest of granny shifting my slip control lights were screaming at me everywhere I went. I was the only car that was going 3 mph and carefully sliding everywhere I went. It was fun in a way, but extremely dangerous, I think the thing that hurted me most was the salt working its way under my car.

ugh i hate the thought of spending that much on tires and having it not even snow while i'm home but i guess i'll just spend the money and throw some snow tires on, better safe than sorry.

I forgot how distracting it is to have one of the twins in your rear-view. A red FRS was behind me all the way from Crystal to Edina this morning. I hate winter.

The FRS was driven by an Asian guy (I think Asian?) that got on Hwy 100 at Hwy 81. Was that anyone here?

Hey Folks, this is Chase over at GrimmSpeed, and if any of you have seen the thread we recently started in the engine forum (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50492) you know that we're looking into developing an intake. First things first though: We'd like to determine if and where there are any weaknesses in the stock intake, so we don't produce something that no one needs.

So, for anyone here that has changed their stock intake to something else, we'd like to purchase your entire system for testing. We'd need everything from the front snorkel, all the way to the throttle body hose. So if you've already replaced everything, let us know and shoot us a PM, and we'll go from there.

Thank you very much, and let us know!

I drove mine through 2 blizzards. Only issue I had was being parked at work all day and came out to a foot of snow, it was not easy to get out of. But, I was on stock tires and my coilovers were all the way down. I didn't have troubles driving in the snow though
