Had the BRZ for over a year now in Baltimore City with street parking. Plenty of random scratches and dings from moron parkers, but tonight I scraped the ever loving shit out of my front right wheel while parking on the street.. I'm used to parallel parking in tight spots, reversing uphill in an alley with cars on both sides doing annoying clutch work, but no ... a simple, gian,t easy pull in curb spot makes me rock my wheel. I know they are just stock and nothing fancy to look at but still ... so pissed at myself.

I did the same my first day at work after having the car for a long weekend. Parking is tight at work and I didn't want a door ding.

I've done the same as you. So disappointing isn't it?

Baltimore City parking is THE WORST, period. And people care nothing about
your car. I usually see bumpers that look like someone sent a cheese grater
across them. I get nowhere near those curbs when I first pull in, even if it's a huge spot.

Agreed! I'd never drive mine over there unless it's to drop someone off. I'd park at a garage instead, given whatever cost.

Apparently it's supposed to snow tuesday night

Baltimore city parking sucks. But it really depends on where you are. Some areas are more forgiving. I've never had issues with anyone messing up my car at my "second" home.

I have no problems parking in normal spots, this was one of those rare insanely easy pull in next to the curb spots, and I just screwed up.

Wish there was a garage remotely close to my house, sigh...

I live in Upper Fells, one of the absolute worst for parking. Some weeknights after 7PM it's taken me 45 minutes to an hour to find parking in a 6 block radius. Before the BRZ I almost bought a used Cooper for the parking alone, but I couldn't bring myself to that.

I traded in my Cooper S for the BRZ! My boyfriend has a house on Barclay Street in Harwood up by Hopkins. Parking sucks sometimes but no one fucks with your car bc cops ride up and down that street every 2-3min. There's a diplomat that lives 2 blocks from us.

I can't stand Fells area during the weekend. I'll normally park in that $3 garage on Caroline by Thames.

I mean, I have an Injen intake and don't even have the airbox installed. Haven't really seen a negative effect. As far as I'm concerned the box is to keep the filter clean and prevent the heat from the engine bay from entering the filter...

It might sound a bit louder. It will probably get dirtier faster and you'll be sucking more warmer then normal air temps with the enclosure.

This always gets debated and like you I can't imagine any negative effects.
