San Antonio Meet Thread

I tried asking about meets on the FB group but you'll get 25 to 30 people to look at the post but no one commits...its sad the scene here is kind of dead it feels like, or at least not as active other cities.

The TXIC San Antonio guys should be having their weekly Thursday meet, tomorrow. Not sure where it's going to be but should be announced tomorrow during the day. I'll probably be at C&C on Saturday and would be down for another photoshoot/meet.

Sounds like tonight's meet will be at The Lion and The Rose at 410 and Blanco at 7:30pm. If you think you might show up please join the group and let someone know so that we can make sure to have enough room for everyone.

I bet if there's enough advance notice, people will come out of the woodwork. I'd definitely be down for another 86 flashmob/photoshoot like what went down at the Quarry, seeing as I missed the first one... I'd like to head to Lowes this Saturday, but I've got to attend my neice's 3rd B-Day party in Kyle at a jumpy-house...

Personally, I just got married about 2 weeks ago and work has got me bent over this desk... that's my excuse for bieng incognito...

^^ Congratulations, Jay!!! Hey, your Miata is coming along nicely. Can't wait to see the finished product!! Yeah, I bet we could draw a crowd with a well organized and promoted photo shoot. Got to have a good photographer though. I know we have some ppl out there with some skills and equipment to help us out. Hopefully, we can get something going soon.

Well, a few of us 86 cars made it, Jim! Good showing of Subarus for sure! Rain messed up our clean cars though.

Figured you were busy Tucker! I think everyone is this time of year. Forums have been pretty slow lately.

Per @Dr.brz 's request to "set it up"....has anyone been to D.I.C.K.'s Classic Garage (website is censoring the link: www.****sclassicgarage.com) in San Marcos? My neighbor was telling me about it a couple of weeks ago. They have about 80 or so cars on display. Some pretty rare cars I hear. They have a Tucker and I've never seen one in person ... the car, not @tuckdaddy.

Anyway, next Saturday, Nov. 16th they have a "November Cruise In". Invitation to meet in their lot from 5PM to ???. Free admission to the museum (normally $10) and they have live music and food.

So, how about a cruise next Saturday? We could meet up at the south end of Buckee's parking lot in New Braunfels say at 3:45PM and leave by 4PM to drive up the road and get there a bit early so we can line up and park together. We'd get to visit, check out the museum, eat food, see some classics and show off our "Classy" 86s!!

Such a cool car, John, yet to see one in person as well. I have a model of a '48 sitting in my room, the car was so advanced for it's time. Hope i can swing the caravan up to the "garage", would love to see that Tucker they have sitting up there! Can't wait for the weekend to get here!

All right then! Let's do it. Yeah Tuck, the Tucker48 they have on display has .4 actual miles on it. Don't know what this one is valued at but, some have sold at over $1 million.

We will depart by 4 PM to drive to San Marcos together. Takes about 20 minutes.

-or, just meet us @ DCG around 4:20 PM. Hopefully we'll all be able to park together. If you will be there a bit later let us know so we can save a spot next to us if possible.
