Does it see track time? If not the wing seems like a race inspired cosmetic enhancement. The blue exhaust and stretched tires are both form>function. Overall its a good looking setup and compared to some other cars on here Id say its not rice.

^ I think it's a very proper setup. Voltex wing, cleib aero kit and Volk wheel is a very far far from a rice status.

It's fairly clean, and mostly pretty tasteful, so I don't think I'd consider that blatant "rice". At the same time, though, I'm not really a fan of the stretched tires and excessive camber - I think that car would look nicer with correct tire fitment for the wheels, and maybe half an inch to an inch less drop (combined with less camber).

Overnight parts from japan or not doesnt make a difference for the rice of a car.

I think your question is valid. If this car is set up for track time, then I think the wing is appropriated.

Given the camber and tire fitment, I suspect that the primary purpose for this car isn't track use.

It's still a fairly clean setup compared to the traditional excessively showy ricemobiles.

A car not being used for the track isn't the definition of rice. If that were the case, a guy buying a Nismo 370Z to putt around town would be considered rice.

I feel people venture into rice territory is when they start using gigantic bodykits like Rocket Bunny (horrible name), gigantic non-adjustable spoilers, gigantic wheels with stretched tires, ridiculous camber/toe which is far from optimal for performance, really busy paint with stickers everywhere (not a sponsored race car), hood scoops/cutouts with no intercooler or actual aero improvement, etc. Ricers generally add a ton of weight to the car just for looks.

You honestly have to try hard to be rice.

I agree with that - I didn't mean to imply that the car was necessarily "ricey", just that I don't think it was really modified with the track as the primary objective. As I said in my prior post, it's fairly clean, and not excessively obnoxious, even though it's perhaps not my preference for appearance.

The point is bling parts doesnt make it any less rice, the car is set up for form and not function, therefore folks wouldnt be wrong in calling those mods ricey.... padawan.

Matching kits! My old cars! Neither had a big wing. Which is, at the time, what I considered rice. LOL

Both had the "altezza" Lights though.
