Nothing yet. They couldn't look at it when I went in because of all the people suddenly flooding in to get their winter tires put on but I have an appointment for next week.

Alright follow up when you have it nailed down.

If it does just turn out to be tire hum, make sure to post the make and size so people can search this thread later.

But then again... you never droce a car that doesn't have insulation like the FRS.

Odds are it's the tires. I bet my money on that.

You just lost your money lol. It's not the tires. They've narrowed it down to the exhaust but they're not sure what exactly.
They're going to drive around other FR-S's with the TRD exhaust like mine and see if they can replicate the noise mine is making.
Going back next week to get the exhaust replaced if they can't figure out a fix.
Also getting the rear deck ticking noise fixed next week as well.

A whining exhaust ..... that's a new one on me .....

Oh, I'm sure they will "fix" it ...... they don't want to be out $1,000 for a new exhaust.

Well as long as the noise goes away, it doesn't matter how they fix it. Yay for warranty.

Wouldn't they just bill it to Toyota anyway? I'm sure they'd LOVE to have to replace it.

Heck, I just don't know anymore.....

Back in the day, if a new exhaust was leaking, they would have put it up on a rack and welded the hole/crack closed.

Since it doesn't seem like anyone at a dealership can "fix" anything anymore, they will just throw parts at it till it doesn't make any more noise.

Is it not normal to have wind noise going like 65mph on the freeway? I have quite a bit of wind noise compared to our 2012 e350 but I was just assuming that was normal.
