I pretty much ended up getting the 10 series because it had the push start and the auto climate center stack like the BRZ. Though the GT86 lights were a nice plus. BRZ was out of the picture for me because the regional Subaru of America rep is/was an unreasonable person during our previous run ins regarding warranty work.

I actually got a horribly bad door ding in my old STi from that same lot so I park far from everyone there.

As for mods, it's a bit up in the air until SEMA is over this year as my employer is tied up with that at the moment. But expect to see a build orientated towards trying to blend autox and drift into the same package with possibly some forced induction involved.

My door ding was a solid seam 4 inches below the top of the driver to about 4 inches above the bottom. Now I just have to worry about some clown stealing the valve stem caps. He took all 4 of mine on different days (2 at a time), and has gotten several of my co-workers.

Interesting, a combo grip, drift build. I'd like to check it out. I bartend at wildfire, so if you're free drop on in. It sounds like you are in the area a lot.

Yeah, I sent them ~600 dollars on the 10th for some parts, called them up after my emails remained unanswered asking for a shipping date, got told on the phone my order may have "been written down and misplaced" because we brokered the deal through PM's (they don't offer the parts I want to buy on their website but they normally carry the items) and to send another email asking for updates/reminder.

Currently waiting on an answer to my most current email requesting shipping information, hopefully someone is in the shop that can answer/ship parts.

Maybe If I get my post count to 777 I will get a tracking number.....

Spotted a red Toyota GT86 yesterday while exiting E. Touhy Ave. on I-94. The car had a temp Illinois license plate on it.

I was in Chicago last week and I only saw three FR-s. The first one was in a Scion dealership, the others on the south side near Midway. I was happy to get back to South Florida. For me, it was cold.

I was actually in Florida on business last thursday, didn't see any FRS/BRZ but I saw a ton of bad drivers and several accidents on the ride from the airport to the convention center lol

I was jealous of the weather though

Traded in my 5th Mini Cooper S on it. Not regretting the decision one bit. Haven't owned a RWD car since 2003 when I traded my 328ci on my first Cooper S. Just stuck a set of 16" steel wheels and snow tires on for the joyful times that are surely coming to Chicago.

Northsiders may have seen my car parked around where you get on LSD as I live up in Edgewater by the Toyota dealership.
