I don't know if anyone is familiar with TechShop, but they are opening a location in Chandler!

I you don't know what it is this is their description:

Can anyone tell me how to take the silver trim on my steering wheel off without screwing something up?

Pop the air bag off. You do that by sticking a long screw driver into the sides and bottom. Just make sure the battery is unpluged just in case.

To the blue twin on desert foothills and liberty heading towards pecos, your car sounds amazing, what mods have you done?

I can't help it this car is just to much fun. I have really put a lot of thought into selling the Vette putting some money into my Savings, IRA and a few other odd's and ends. Then taking the rest and buying more parts for both a new project and the FR-S. Having another car so that when I break this one I have a back up... I have a few on the list so far.
1) That Orange FR-S @jeffsides told us about, if I can find it. Not sure O'rielly's will be able to access that auction. This one would get an LS or 2J depending on which is lighter. (I am assuming LS)
2) RX8 to do an LS Swap
3) RX7 FD to do an LS Swap
4) BMW M3 to do an LS Swap
5) BMW Z3 to do an LS Swap
6) RWD Mazda Conversion from Probe Talk, might not do an LS Swap lol
7) S14 240SX to do an LS Swap
8) S2000 to build or do an LS Swap
9) Just buy an old Muscle Car and build that with an LS Swap.
10) Be lazy and just buy the Firehawk I always wanted.

As you can see I have been looking around and really thinking about what I would do. I would have more than enough to accomplish it but the fact of the matter is... is that what I want to do? Guess we will find out what happens in the next few months.

Anyway I am rambling... gotta get to work.
My last car which I sold to buy the BRZ was an S14 240sx with a 320 hp 350z engine. Was way faster than the BRZ but still not as much fun. Just can't use it on the street without losing your licence. Cars are fun as you approach the limit of tire adhesion. Everything on your list will have limits so high you'll cruise around at way below their potential probably close to the speed limit to keep from being arrested every time out. Just about every Corvette I see is doing close to the speed limit which just doesn't look like that much fun. Would be the same frustration with every car that approaches super car performance.
I say mod the twin and drive it on the street, and get yourself a good track day car to play with on the track.

I'm guessing that was me around 5:30 or so this evening. Exhaust wise I have a @JDLAutoDesign over and front pipe paired with an Agency Power catback from @vividracing. I may be biased...but I think my car is one of the best sounding ones I know of.

Once JDL finishes my replacement header my car will be in full beast mode!

I think you just hit the nail on the head for why I'm so bored... Trapping 121mph NA in the 1/4 mile says a lot about my Corvette. I think it really is just to fast to enjoy without getting in trouble which is why I love going to the drag strip.
Any car I buy to replace it with my plans will have the same problem and just be to much for me to drive and play with on the street... It may be a street car but it's just not meant to play very often.... I guess that's the realization I have been avoiding for years now. No new project will fix that either it will just become the same problem again...
You have given me something else to consider for the time being. Not sure starting over is really what I'm missing so much as being able to enjoy what I have made.
