If I'm paying over 30k for a Subaru...it'll be an STi. (coming from someone that loves the low power)

That also puts you into the price range of a heap of other cars that well outperform us. Sub-30 is a big selling point.

I agree that the price point would make sense, but again I highly doubt it's feasible for them. Which is the reason they're most likely not making it. The only way I see them making a turbo version is to charge a high amount for it OR only build it in extremely limited quantities to minimize their losses on each car.

There is no need for Subaru to throw in a turbo for this vehicle, they already have a turbo boxer - the WRX STi. If they turbo it, it would be competing directly with the WRX STi and cannibalize its sales. Subaru already have the turbo market sorted out, where they have been lacking is the NA market, and this is where this car can fill this gap. BRZ STi should be NA with more power, I reckon 240-250hp would be spot on. Then they'd have both markets filled.

FA25! Lighter wheels would offset the increased weight.

FA25 would bump NA power more efficiently, me thinks, plus allow them to make spunkier versions of their heavier NA models like an Impreza hatch or the Crosstrek. Money would spread around. Although putting the FA20 in those models would be okay, too, but I still vote for FA25.

If they could squeeze 250hp out of an NA 2.5 I will be extremely impressed
