I'm thinking of replacing both grey fittings (breather and brake booster) with some sort of metal fitting. Has anybody already done this? If so, would you be willing to share the specs of these parts with me? Otherwise I will just take these parts to a local hardware store to find metal replacements when I install my intercooler. |

No bother at all.
It is the additional pulley that comes with the kit. The one where you can see the bearings is the "front" side of the bearing, the other is the "back" side.

We ran into issue after issue basically.
The laninova core installed in about 1.5 hrs. Easy. 1. There were no instructions 2. The coolant lines were off. Spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to route the lines so we could use the supplied lines. Gave up after an hour and spent a lot of time driving to stores to find new fittings and coolant hose. 3. Needed to get 150 deg AN fittings because my robispec radiator makes mounting of the kits' heat exchanger difficult. 4. Reservoir is designed to install onto a stock battery. I have a light weight battery so we had to do some custom modification. 5. Wiring the pump was a DIY so had to route it into cabin and use a fuse tap to an ignition source. 6. Leaks. Had to re-clamp some of the perma crimp clamps on the coolant lines. So it was more work than I thought. I would definitely plan on using up the better part of a day to install this kit. Things happen. ![]() The quality of the components are top notch though! The reservoir is epic. Ill post pics later. We were able to do back to back dyno runs and everything stayed within operating temps and no timing was pulled. I think we did a total of 7 pulls and usually we would have needed to let the car rest for 5 minutes to dissipate heat. Not this time. We just went for it. Testing it on the track tomorrow.

I ripped out my meth injection because I hated lugging around containers of water meth and having to top off every hour. I have seem people doing the same with E85 and I shudder at the thought of having to bring ~ 13 - 15 gal of E85 with me. Not to mention trying to find e85 around me or near the tracks. Ill get flex fuel when there are at least stations within 15 to 20 miles of the tracks

Apart from your self-imposed issue of running a different radiator/whatever, i'm amazed that someone appears to have taken the easy-to-install chargecooler kit from Sprintex and made it a PITA?
I took me less than half an hour to install the radiator, hoses and pump (I did this in advanced of the actual s/c install, so I wouldn't need a ramp/pit to finish the install). Then when doing the s/c install, installing the heat exchanger only took a minute due to the s/c being off the car, the wiring for the pump was 2 minute job once the rest of the engine was apart (Sprintex supply a y-lead to power the pump from one of the fuel injector plugs {wouldn't have been my first choice, but I went with it}). |

Um, wow. Not what I was expecting. I patiently wait your reliability review of this. I'd hate to see someone replace an ECU because the injector driver circuit was over drawn. Does this Y adapter power a relay, or the pump itself?

The pump. It's rated at < 2 amps. It's tiny, should not be a concern for the ECU.
