Yeah i'm a winter fr-s driver as well. Got some 215/55/16s, some rally armour flaps and sand for weight and praying for minimal snowfall.

@JPxM0Dz if I left my tow hook in my rear slot over winter without cutting a hole in the cover do you think getting snow in that slot will cause any rusting or anything if it got into the inside of the bumper or on that shock absorber?

Tough to say, guess it depends. Myself, I would either fit the cover over the tow hook or make a nice rubber gasket to fit behind the tow hook to keep snow and moisture out.

I feared the snow at the start of last winter as well. However, after a couple of big snowfalls I realized that it wouldn't be an issue. The only place that almost caught me was up a small hill in a back alley where I couldn't get any speed to push through. That was the only time I didn't have the traction to drive forward all winter, was able to reverse out though. So, rather than fearing the snow I recommend looking forward to it, it makes endless drifts possible.

Very impressed with my STG1 tune via OFT from Vishnu, it's as good as any tune I've had from Visconti or FA20Club. However, where this tune seems to shine so far are it's pulls in the first few gears, very responsive. That's all I was able to do as it was a quick road test up and down the avenues. There were a couple other things I noticed with this tune that I really like also, first one is the exhaust note. At cold start, my car roared pretty loud for the first 30 seconds with Visconti and FA20Club tunes. The Vishnu tune seems to have calmed that down, but still has a really nice tone through out the gears and at idle. The second thing I noticed was at idle, every so often with my Visconti or FA20Club tune, the rpm's would cycle up and down sporadically to the point where I though the car would stall at an intersection or just parked, but never did. This tune has been running for a couple of days now and I've had the car out and about with zero idle issues so far. So needless to say, I'm quite happy with the tune and definitely recommend!

How easy would you say this is to do for someone who has never done a tune and knows next to nothing about it? I would love to do this but I am also scared I will screw up my ECU.

The tunes are downloadable from the link I left and yes they are free. You order the OFT and download the openflash software. Then install software on pc and load desired maps to your OFT

If you look under the heading getting started in the link I left. They have DIY videos on how to set everything up

Yes it's very straight forward. More steps than flashing a tune via Ecutek, but still just as easy.
