Dunno where the guy got the numbers from. He told me 330 and 300 again wen I asked for source or any documents he would not provide or he was talking out if his rear. I guess we won't know until it hits show room floors or some type of official announcement from them. Sales guys are sales guys that's how rumors get started from him making comments like that with out being able to provide proof. I don't know much about the Z except that it was a 6 cyclinder when I tried to research it there was a lot of Z owners upset that they where putting a 4 in the Z at all

This: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/res...oject-s16.html (share by Hanni) made me mad and sad. Competition in this market could only mean good things.

Now that would be exciting. A mid-engine entry level sports car would be A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!

According to Nissan Executive Vice President Andy Palmer, the Nissan Juke covers that demographic just fine. As we’ve long suspected, volume, not brand loyalty or enthusiasm, is the driving force behind this decision. At 78,000 Nissan Jukes sold in the US since its introduction, apparently that’s enough sales to risk disappointing the Nissan faithful.

Says Mr. Palmer, “Gen Y and Gen Z is less interested in that kind of execution of a sports car. For a younger generation, [the Juke] is a much more profound way of going to market.” Palmer added that the Nismo variant of the Juke would fill that void perfectly: “The decision to go to Juke Nismo, lending that kind of performance to that kind of car is consciously our decision to get at those enthusiastic young, sports-oriented type of customers – We think the [Juke and Juke Nismo] is a much more relevant execution for them.”

Mr. Palmer was asked if the successful sales of the Toyobaru twins were proof that Nissan should have continued with Project S16. In response, Mr. Palmer asked which customers were buying the FR-S and BRZ. He went on to explain that these customers are in their late 20s and early 30s (the S16′s target demographic)… Generation Y and the cusp of Generation Z… “They’re not as interested in cars like the FR-S as previous generations were – That generation has a different attitude towards sporty performance and a different attitude to life than you or I do.”

Damn, I feel so sorry for Nissan and their fans with Palmer making these b/s calls. I couldn't read much after that and it's such a shame that someone with so much power can be so idiotic.

The Nissan Puke is the most revolting "car" I've ever seen in my life, hands down. But that's kind of par for the course for Nissan these days. They even managed to make an ugly truck. That's hard to do.

Front runners everywhere. Everyone is bashing on RR but he is loyal to his brand. I'm actually happy he has not got one.
The FT86 was revealed in '07, that's what sparked up life back for Toyota fans and a couple yrs later, this forum. Toyota has always been on top of the game.

I'm also happy I didn't get one too! I'm not in an ultimate hurry. If I really wanted one, I can go pick one up from the trader for around 20K and drive it back; hopefully without dying on me.

isn't that exactly the point? I never would have thought of buying a Toyota until they made a car that is generally considered the best value for money drivers' car around.
I love my car but in a few year when i need a new one, i'll shop around for what i consider then to be the best car for me.
I don't get why as a rational consumer i have to be 'loyal' to a brand...

I think maybe there is where the sales got his info from I remember him saying a nismo model would be available in the new turo z w the 330 hp the article is recent August 26th 2013 that claims " weaning" fold off the v6. And turbo would be 330 hp. But goes onto say say because of fuel economy among other things that base would possibly 280 and nismo version would be 330 hp turbo.

Or he really does have legit info either way the article was publshied in motor trend. I tried to up load two photos from article but having trouble with I phone

Ok. Trying to upload part in article where it talks about the Power and weight of car etc. found another article that said car is sticker price starting under 30 and car is aimed directly to compete with twins which I guess is something we already knew ..... Dunno seems twins forcing these other companies to bring something new to there line ups also
