You have to remember that he is in England. And USDM has different options from JDM or EDM.

I think it was confirmed a while ago that every market was getting the Torsen diff in the mid-spec and above models.

^But is FR-S mid-spec? IIRC it's equivalent to the 2nd lowest JDM spec (out of 5 tiers) with high-spec 17" wheels slapped on.

That's all rumored, more or less. We do NOT know what the production-spec FR-S has standard and what it does not. We do know the BRZ Premium is a sort of mid-spec between mid and high JDM spec.

If they sell it without the LSD, without HIDs, without NAV/Bespoke, and without auto climate control (which is not even standard on the BRZ Premium) then and only then can I see it being priced on the low end. If Scion is shooting for sporty it will feature an LSD, if they're going for affordable it won't.

It has leather steering wheel, shift knob, more than two speakers, and 17" wheels... it's a mid-spec like the BRZ Premium.

I watched the video 5 times already, haha. Finally a vid that shows it all, and different angles etc...i am actually starting to like the stock wheels....

The more i think about it i may leave my motor bone stock and just do suspension tuning, so i can" perfect "driving this chassis before i go crazy with turbos etc....just like tsuchiya, his 86 is pretty mild and takes down 400hp beasts on the touge.....its all about having total control over your car rather than hitting nos all day.....

Inline w/ what OrbitalEllipse said above, it's a hybrid of mid-low and mid-high spec so no point in comparing with other specs. It's its own spec. Which, at this point, is not definitive enough to determine if LSD will come standard.

If standard, it may cost $600-$1000 more than what people would want to pay. Let's hope what's saved on no nav/no HIDs/analog temp controls goes towards the LSD. Instead of getting chubby in the unflattering areas, send that fat to her chest and behind! :p

Awesome review. Loving everything so far, even the stripes. I usually hate any type of decal or stripe on a car but damn that looked like it belonged. Now the only problem is figuring out what color a Raven would get... otherwise its Asphalt with the black stripe. Its going to be so much fun to drive this thing around. I wish it were possible to just jump in time a year so i could go ahead and take this beauty out.

Well 74% (30/41) of the known First 86 winners chose manual. Most people who would want LSD probably drive manual.

Then again the other half who haven't been vocal on winning may want automatic. Assume the worst case 30/86 (35%) will want a manual vs. general Americans which is, what, 10%? Maybe less? It's quite significant. This car is won't appeal to the average American; a standard LSD could pull in more purists and boost sales.
