![]() IF, and that is a big if, Honda even makes such a car the twins will be due for a mid cycle refresh where Tada has all but confirmed the car will have more power. I like Honda. I have a Honda and a Subaru sitting in my garage right now, but Honda is a shell of their formal self in terms of building driver focused cars. At least they listened to criticism concerning the Civic and Accord, but it really remains to see what Honda can bring to the table in this space. So yes it is possible, but it will require them to make some drastic changes. And a Honda CVT is not going to cut it in a sports car.. |

S660 is a Honda beat mr replacement aimed at miatas but rumored to have a super small engine and really light weight.
Honda still has an s2k replacement yet to be revealed and the new NSX coming out. Similar to how toyota is suppose to release a lower version of the FRS and a new supra. Only time will tell. If I could have a k20 in my FRS with out loosing low cog and handling dynamics...I would. My Hondas have lasted through much more abuse then subie engines seem to handle. Just saying. I love my FRS none the less regardless.

You saw the pic, read the specs and thought that's what I was comparing. C'mon now, really! Unfortunately that's not the case. ![]() There's no doubt in my mind that Honda will have a platform that will outperform the twins, even after a FR-S and BRZ kouki. What they had with the S2K was very impressive, except for the price. So if they say that they plan to build a car with the similar specs AND price as the 86, it's gonna be legit. Shit, even the paint will be 10x better...

![]() I want what you're smoking. Edit: Why wait? Buy one of the many coupes that outperform the 86 today for less money, the Mustang, Genesis, RX-8, and (importantly to you) the S2000 can all be had right now instead of waiting 5+ years on a rumor. Edit 2: Hell get what many hoped the 86 would be, Cayman's are floating down into the $30k territory. |

@ 10:40 "This car's handling is unbelievably sharp... ...you can roll on the throttle and push it hard and harder through the corner, just like you do a motorcycle. The harder you roll on the throttle, the more it settles the car." The one thing that folks complain the most about the FR-S, besides the quirks, is the power.

@RRnold
Why post here? Buy an S2k. "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid" The 86 isn't what you're looking for, what you're looking for already exists, stop wasting your time and enjoy something instead of posting criticisms. Unless you rather post on the internet. |

Majority of automotive paints are "thin" but not as bad as Subaru. My old GSR's clear coat started to peel after 5 yrs. I remember seeing a post that the BR-Z paint was like 80 microns. The car will get a scratch just from sneezing.
So back on topic, it looks like Nissan and Honda seem to have something planned to compete with the FR-S and BRZ. That is great news and def excited to see what's in store.

Are you trying to sell s2k's or something on here?
Whoopie... Honda has another rumor car. Isn't going to sway many of us from the twins. We're talking Nissan trying to catch up with the curve of making non-boring cars again. You want to talk about Honda's, and their amazing ability to blow away everything on the market... Go make a thread about it. |

Besides my front bumper the paint is holding up fine on my car. If I ever replace it I'll be sure to clear bra it, lesson learned
