2015 Ford Mustang Starting at $23,995
"The car of the moment continues to make the headlines, as after lifelike renderings of the Ford Mustang popped up online, a survey conducted by Morpace for Ford has surfaced in cyberspace. According to the document revealed on Mustang6g, the new Mustang will have a starting price of $23,995, with the convertible costing an additional $5,000. Buyers will also get a choice of three engines. A naturally-aspirated 3.8-liter V6 rated at 300 hp and 290 lb-ft of torque, returning 19 mpg city, 29 mpg highway will come as standard.
For an additional $560, Ford offers a 2.4-liter GTDI inline-four good for 310 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, returning 22/32 mpg city/highway, while an extra $1,890 will secure a 4.9-liter V8 generating 430 hp and 396 lb-ft of torque, returning 18/28 mpg city/highway. Transmission selections consist of six-and seven-speed manuals, and a six- and ten-speed automatics." http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2013/10/...23-995-7716870 With those numbers, that means you can get a base 2015 V8 GT for almost $5k less than a 2014, or roughly $25885...wow! Although still heavy, the reduced weight, improved suspension and that new price point may result in some serious FT86 competition. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ^ Is it just me or does the 2015 have a big ass? LOL, it looks and sounds like it has a big everything. Even with dropping 200lbs, I suspect it will still feel and drive like a big car after getting out of the BRZ.
I am very meh about this. Getting rid of the live rear axle is a big plus, and that 4 cylinder option sounds awesome, but for me they did not do enough with the exterior styling and weight loss to make this a game changer. It is kinda more of the same for me in the styling department. |

No fucking way will a base GT be under 26 grand. I'll shit my pants if it is.
*Note that I will figuratively shit my pants, and not literally. Pics of figuratively shitted pants will not be available upon request. |

Wait....everything After Market about Mustang = Super freaking Cheap, including Crate Motors. Look like Ford is really going to Kill FT86. Balance Issues aside, with that V8 and Power it put down...It could Tear up the Pavement with it's Torque. 95% of the people in the US needs Passing Power.....I am sure Coyote or Voodoo will have no problem Smoking an FT86 I hate the Sides and Quater Panels in those Rendering...Where are the Brake Vents ? Cheap Price, Big Number, Nice Colors options, Cheap After Markets...This is Trully "A Toy" |

The pricing is off. The current Mustang GT base MSRP is $31,695. Do you honestly believe they will sell you a 2015 Mustang GT that has a more expensive suspension for $25K and change? In a year or less with the normal Ford discounts you would be looking at a $22K Mustang GT. No way. Especially when you factor in that the base V6 2015 Stang is more expensive than a base 2014. I expect the GT MSRP to go up $1-2K. Making it closer to $33K than $26K. |

I do think the BRZ/FRS stock is very capable against cars that are equal on paper, it uses what it has more efficiently, but if I go drive a C5 Z06, or a C6, or a C7, or a MGT, or a Boss302, etc on Sebring it wouldn't even be close.

I'd quite honestly consider selling the BRZ if it is... but I agree on it not happening or I'll be shocked.

http://autos.jdpower.com/research/Sc...oupe/index.htm In fact, the Mustang received awards for it's reliability from JD power and associates. They have made great strides with reliability and reducing the number of TSBs for their new cars. Plus, there have been virtually no reported cases of "crickets" for the 5.0 Coyote motors in the Mustang lol *For the record, I own a Mustang and a 240sx, plus we have an FR-S here at the office. I love both of them, I just think if Ford's performance numbers and weight loss rumors are true, it's gonna be a monster! Nick C.

Wow...this is what I wanted out of a Mustang for a long time! This would have been some serious competition for the FRS!

I really really don't want to. I loved my C6 and from what I hear, the C7 is just so much better. I fear if I drove it, I would end up trying to find ways to convince the wife to let me get one.

Did anyone else actually get the obvious Mustang survey in the mail from MorePaces? They were bragging about some gift card so I figured eh what's 10 minutes...I was like, wow they didn't even try to hide the intent of the survey which was overall pricing vs. options.
personally...I like the specs I'm hearing about the 'Stang but the rear (from the side) looks too 90's thunderbird for my tastes. |
