Still waiting on Stance LCAs to come but KWs V3 and Vorshlaggs received.
Soon within two weeks these, Stance LCA, Whiteline Toe Links, Whiteline NON adjustable UCA bushings will all be installed and another alignement. Shooting for a 1-1.25" lower then stock stance. Also arriving soon is my Driveshaft Shop Carbon Fiber driveshaft, along with Whiteline Saddle Tranny mount (Ridding of the T shaped Perrin tranny mount as can't handle the high pitch whine it produces?) ![]()

Finally got to some things.
I removed the Perrin T tranny mount and installed the whiteline positive shift kit. Now with some time on that I can say that was a good decision overall. Still have better shifting without the whine noise. Many like that but it wasn't for me. Here is whitelines in place. Installed stock T piece back in as well of course. ![]() Tonight I removed the oem driveshaft and installed the DSS CF driveshaft. More to follow once I test it all out. OEM ![]() DSS CF Driveshaft installed.

Now because what I was hearing was so different and it is truly hard to explain I will call it a more air noise then anything for experiment by suggestion from DSS I rotated it 90 degrees, re tried, then 90 again till I was all way around, YES alot of wrenching on my back lol... In the end the noise or what I thought to hear that was different didn't change... BUT being that there is no vibrations and the acceleration is so dramatic, at least by FEEL then it is all good I'd say. Im abit of a nancy pants when it comes to different noises, I'm very sensitive have been all my life which really sucks so at this point I am really torn as I love the performance feel improvement but the noise is just sooo different overall, the car is very smooth I'd say. I will give it a solid week of driving and also get on some better pavement over the next week so can better evaluate how I feel about it. I have changed more then a few things on my car simply on how I hear or feel about a sound, not to say anything I have removed was bad just how it affects me overall I suppose. Anyhow that's all I gotta say about that until I get more time on it, but from a performance standpoint A+ and very much overkill for my needs though lol.

Very interesting. I think you and I are very similar with regard to noises. While I enjoy the added grip, my tires now create significantly more road noise, especially on the highway. I added a Billet Pro Shop short throw shifter which feels fantastic, but tends to rattle when going full throttle merging on the highway. The Cusco spin turn knob also rattles like a mofo, and if I don't find a fix for that I'm removing it because it's so bad.
Would you describe it as like a whining or whistling noise at all?

What I intend to do is drive with this shaft for a solid week or so then perhaps sling back in stock for a direct comparison as I should have good feel for it overall by then and go from there. It's really quick and easy not for most all mods on this car lots of room for hands to get in around things.

Well yesterday was productive and well expensive lol...
Installed KWV3 coilovers with Vorshlagg camber plates Project MU rotors all way around slotted Project MU NS 400 Brake pads Project MU comp brake fluid Stance LCA Whiteline non adjustable UCA replacements Whiteline toe links Alignment Not 100% certain on height yet may raise a touch but no bottoming out and ride is fantastic very pleased overall. Current alignment is -2 all way around and zero toe. Looks funny in front now cause will be installing new wheels this winter so that will be ok for now. Been awhile and not much going on as my car is going into hibernation for the winter. BUT... these goodies came in so had to install them!
![]() Raceseng Black reverse lockout, shout out to @Raceseng for quick delivery and quality again as always! ![]() "IF" you purchase one of these, please note you would be best if you had someone to lend you a hand, if only to hold the wire carrier below the boot to keep the hole within reach for you to insert Racesengs bolt into the reverse lockout. Also a 3/32 punch and small hammer (IS) needed 100% to push out the roll pin from stock RL. ![]() ![]() Next got in rest of my JPM Coachworks bits to complete my interior "for now" Again nothing but good craftsman ship from @JPM Coachworks again, thanks!The leather and red stitched door panels to match all my existing JPM goodies. Took advantage of the task and also put on some more MLV and matting to doors for better sound isolation as well. To me this is how the car should come, looks soooooo much more complete IMO and adds luxury look and feel to the car. $ well worth spent IMO! ![]() ![]() ![]() Left on ![]() Right on

Moving forward notes:
Ordered a P3 Guage from fa20club, should have that for install within a few weeks. Changed oil and filter in car and officially set it into hibernation for the winter . Also did full wax strip and applied Exo V2 coating to entire car, 6hour job. Winter plans: 1.) Install small goods coming, guages etc.. 2.) Decide "what wheels" after Sema, as you never know what may release. Front runners for scrubs some Enkei RPF1 in 17x9 squared and for street Volk TE37SL pressed graphite in 18x9.5" squared. 3.) Decide and make final decision on "WHAT" FI route to go, right now top runner are for SC: Jackson Racing SC & Innovate, if Turbo then FBM or Avo Turbo. Have made up my mind I do want to do FI for sure, just need to sift through all the BS and educate myself as to what the best one for me is.

So this is kind of random, but is that, by chance, a power washer in that last picture with the yellow wheels (Karcher perhaps)? If so, mind giving your 2 cents on how effective/useful it is for washes?
Also, how well does the MLV on the door panels work for sound isolation? Great looking car btw!

I also have done my entire trunk, back top deck and trunk as well, sure it adds some weight but my doors close solid, the improvement in sound quality from my stereo and exterior noise reduction is 100% worth it imo.

I always wondered if the metal to metal contact causes the irritating noise that many have complained about. If not sorbothane... perhaps another polyurethane to isolate the metal to metal contact. |
